Hotel Carlton on the Grand Canal

Great location Staff very helpful Stayed for one night with family of four

I did choose this hotel for a family trip of 4 (four) adults because of a trade-off of price and convenience (it is close to railway central station and piazza Rome bus and taxi parking). The main asset of this hotel is the restaurant open for cocktails and for dinner on the roof top and the very good service at that restaurant. This is not the same level of service you find for the bar and breakfast downstairs that is just ok. Overall the rooms at the hotel were pleasant and cleanand quite. Service at the desk were polite and helpful but I spoke Italian so this might be a factor in my ratings. Comparing with other 4 stars hotels I stayed internationally I would not rate this as four star maybe 3 star at the best and this is mostly due to attention to customers and overall conditions of rooms and quality of services.
