A La Locanda di Orsaria

Experience is not good, need to take luggage up the stairs, air conditioner is not working well, room is small and old, staff not responsive to our request for a fan inside the room as the air conditioner is quite old and not function well. Anyway, some credits to this hotel: good to let us check in late, staff are polite, allow guest to keep luggages after check out, breakfast is good. Not recommend for family

Not good for family

Very nice hotel and staff was great. Room was plenty sufficient for family of four. We choose this hotel due to proximity to train station. Venice is not an easy city to get around with luggage. This hotel was perfect!!

Our room was actually in the Venice Maggiore Consiglio Hotel opposite side of the alley and a couple of doors down from Osaria (run by the same company I think). It was perfect for us. We arrived by train and the hotel was just a two minute walk away. Also close to shops, eateries, and the water bus stop. Despite being so close to everything, the alley that the hotel is in is nice and quiet (but still feels safe). The hotel itself was very well presented and clean and very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful. My son actually left his soft toy at the hotel when we checked out and the staff responded so quickly to my email about it to reassure me that the toy had been found. Great breakfast and a lovely little outdoor area to sit whilst having it (or air conditioned indoor area if you prefer). I will definitely stay here again if I am ever in Venice and will recommend to friends and family.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Stinks of sewage, peeling and dirty wallpaper and old, grimy shower. The receptionist changed our room to the modern part of the hotel which was better but we couldn’t get a family room altogether. Breakfast was awful. We had no clean table to sit at, people had to walk into the kitchen and help themselves to plates/cutlery. I complained to the receptionist who said someone is working in there and they will be there shortly. 25 mins after our allotted breakfast time a rude lady turned up. Sloppy scrambled eggs and no bacon left and only bred ends left. Was so bad we went to the local cafe the next day.

Nice location, and the breakfast was delicious. Check in for the hotel is across the street. The front desk staff at the hotel across the street is nice and friendly. However, the kitchen lady was very rude and mean. While waiting for check-in, the kitchen lady would come out multiple times very angry pretending to be cleaning. My family and I felt like she’s trying to make us to leave.

The property was in a great location although can be noisy at night. It was clean and great size room for a family. Would definitely come back again.
