Hotel Regency

This hotel is absolutely wonderful in all respects. The facility is charming, classy and beautifully decorated. The restaurant has delicious selections of food and drink and the staff were extremely accommodating of particular food requirements of my wife and two adolescent children. The breakfast is lovely and the garden is peaceful and full of lemon trees. The location is in a relatively quiet and upscale part of Florence. Our family enjoyed the open space of the Parco giochi D'Azeglio immediately across the street. The concierge staff was extremely helpful in arranging a variety of activities for our family (beginning even prior to the start of our stay). We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This hotel was one of the best hotels we have been in the service was great and all the people there were very kind hearted we booked a family suite and it was wonderful the room was so welcoming!!!

We visited 17 years ago with my children and wanted to come back. It was just as lovely the second time around. The hotel has a gracious staff, well maintained rooms, and it is within walking distance to many areas in Florence. The restaurant has excellent food and will accomodate any needs you may have. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed at the Hotel Regency, a small boutique hotel in Florence, after staying in the much larger, opulent St. Regis in Rome. In contrast to the St. Regis, the Hotel Regency made me feel much more at home. Generally, the hotel, its lobby, and the neighborhood (residential, a few minutes' walk to central Florence) were quiet. The staff was very helpful. We stayed in a junior suite, which had a very comfortable sitting area, bathroom with a window that let natural light in, comfortable queen-sized bed, and huge balcony letting in lots of light that overlooks the park which the hotel fronts. (The balcony was the largest on the floor, by far; ask for Room 404.) Importantly, the hotel offers a complimentary breakfast that includes coffee, cappuccino, varied yogurts, and a selection of pastries, breads, and jams. Although the services book in the room was unclear on the point, be aware that having the complimentary breakfast delivered to your room results in the room service charge of 5.50 euro (still, a steal compared to the cost of in-room breakfast service at other 5-star hotels!). We'll stay here again next time we're in Florence.
