Great place to stay if you have kids. We stayed in the panoramic suite with the spa on the balcony which was great.

Absolutely a great family run hotel! Staff is very helpful and a pleasure, especially Cristina. Not sure why this would be rated a 2 star, stayed a some 5 stars that aren’t as good as the Orcagna. Spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast offered a great selection and they even had late night snacks available. Decent location, short bus ride from the train station and a quick walk from the main areas. I would highly recommend staying here. Just one thing, it was extremely hot outside and the AC couldn’t keep up.

As others have noted, the woman at the front desk during the day was extremely helpful and spoke very good English. Note that while the hotel offers parking for a fee, there is also parking available in the evenings on the street and since the hotel is affiliated with one across the street, you can also park in front of that hotel at no charge. We had a family room for 4 on the second floor which had 2 twin beds and a double bed. You'd think the room would be very cramped but was not. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Orcagna and would recommend it to others. Easy access to the bus that takes you into to main Florence sites.
