Orto De Medici Hotel

Generally a good stay for families. Junior suites vary in size. The one we stayed this time was much smaller than the one we stayed the previous time. Property lacks in dining amenities beyond breakfast. Value is purely based on quality of room versus amenities. Staff friendliness and service is above par.

Room was a little small (shower in the room not the bathroom) which kept me from being able to shower since my baby fell asleep early. But the hotel was beautiful and had a great breakfast! Also clean!

This hotel was our favourite stay in our two weeks in Italy! We stayed here for 4 nights and the service, cleanliness and rooms were fantastic! Everyone was so helpful from reception to cleaning staff. We loved the huge buffet breakfast, the kids especially appreciated the pancakes with real Canadian maple syrup! The rooms were very large and we loved the large walk in closet and huge bathroom with a tub for our small children. It was a bit of a walk to Ponte Vecchio but otherwise this was the perfect spot to stay! Lots of shopping, restaurants and fun nearby. There are so many little details that this hotel has thought of from the welcome bottle of Prosecco to the popsicles in the lobby for the children. Top notch!! Wifi and Netflix in the room was appreciated too. Would return in a heartbeat.

Excellent location. Everything is within walking distance or easy access via bus. The rooms are clean and spacious. The first floor lobby was comfortable and air conditioned, and having access to a computer and a printer was very convenient. The whole building felt luxurious but very budget friendly. My kids loved it. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Florence.

Modern clean bright and very comfortable beds for our family of 4. Walkable but not in the main touristy areas which we preferred. Very kind staff and restaurant recommendations. Excellent breakfast. My kids enjoyed the free popsicles too!

Wonderful location. Very friendly staff at front desk who was quick to attend to our needs. Excellent breakfast! Valet parking greatly appreciated for busy central Florence. Nice touch with the ice lollies for our children! 😀

Wonderful property, friendly and helpful staff. Location is great, walkable to all the major sites. Would recommend, but not sure for children. Parking is expensive, but see as it seems to be underground and the area is in the old city then you pays your money and take your chances. Overall would recommend. Hope you are having a good day.

I honestly can’t say enough about this property! Great location. Walkable. Staff was welcoming and helpful whenever we needed anything. Loved our balcony! All sights were in an easy walking distance. Train station as well. Breakfast was good. I would stay here again no questions asked and recommend to friends and family!
