Hotel Collodi

I normally only book 3-5 star hotels. I booked this 2-star without noticing, going mostly by customer ratings and room size. The amenities and simplicity of breakfast options meet the expectations of a 2-star hotel, but the overall experience was very positive. The room was spacious with separate beds for each child and a double bed for us. The bathroom was small, with a particularly tiny shower, but I understand this varies from room to room. The bath towels were the low point, feeling more like tablecloth, but they were surprisingly absorbent. The hotel is located near most major sites and a lot of restaurants, a food court with loads of fun options, shops, and more. It was very clean and mostly quiet. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and always eager to help, although they have limited hours of availability at the front desk (7am-10pm or so). We were allowed to receive our keys and drop off our luggage several hours before check-in, before housekeeping was ready with our room. We didn't return to the room until very late, after the front desk was closed. At that time we noticed the Air Condition unit had a minor water leak. The next morning, we were out by 6am, again too early to inform the front desk. By the time we let them know of the issue, water had gotten to a part of the rug. The hotel staff fixed the AC unit, fully cleaned and dried the room, and even replaced the rug! Such level of service recovery is quite impressive to me.

Perfect location. It was walking distance to all venues and the river. Accommodates were very comfortable and roomy. Excellent service and the breakfast was great. I would pick this hotel again on my next visit. My family loved it.

Centrally located, just a 15 minute walk from main Florence train station. Very clean, great staff, family run hotel. The rooms Nd hotel are very unique and well maintained.

The best hotel we stayed for the Italy trip. It has everything you need. Very family friendly. Walkable to every where you want to go.

We loved hotel Collido! From the moment we went in we were so warmly welcomed. Rooms were great size for a family, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast in morning had everything we needed. The breakfast room is small but always a table free. Lovely coffee! The location is amazing as it’s within walking distance of so many sights and great restaurants. All of us agree that we will return. Even the hard to please teenager. Well done hotel Collido for your wonderful hotel ❤️

This is a gem! Spacious and clean rooms! We are travelling with a teenager and an 8 year old and other two families of four. Each child had its own single bed. This was extremely important for us because we could rest after a long day. The hotel is walking distance from the train station- about 10 min.

This is the second time my family and I have stayed at this hotel. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, he was a very sweet man. There really isn't anything negative I could say. If you are expecting modern amenities, then this isn't the place for you, this is a charming and quaint hotel with everything necessary to make you feel comfortable. It is situated in an area that has everything from shops to restaurants all at walking distance. We never needed a taxi to go anywhere. It is also walking distance from the train station.

Hotel Collodi was a gem. The property was gorgeous, the room was incredibly spacious, and the staff made you feel like family. Overall, there is very little to complain about. I would gladly recommend this property to anyone who is visiting the area and looking for a small, personable property without all the bells and whistles of American-brand hotels.

Probably the best 2 stars hotel we have ever stayed in. We had the family room and it was perfect for 4 of us. The room is clean and very well decorated. There was a lot of space and all the comforts (two TVs and A/C in both rooms). The hosts were very helpful. The complimentary breakfast was very well assorted.
