Glance Hotel In Florence

The hotel is conveniently 5 minutes of walk from the train station , walk out and straight on the street to the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly, and helpful through out the stay including great tips on restaurants, the nearby food center and providing fair warning that you don't order a Florentine steak medium or above unless you want to earn the wrath of the locals. The location is walking distance to most places in 15 minutes. Florence isnt that big. That said, i think a hotel a little more central would have helped. The room was great! As a family of 3 we also had a suite where our kid could sleep on a comfy bed outside the bedroom. The closet space was very limited for a suite but the beds were very comfy, the bath was spacious and well stocked and the breaklfast was delicious Overall we would still recommend the room to our family and friends

Of all our stays in Italy and Florence, staying at Glance was most regrettable. For the high cost, we expected much better service and a higher quality amenities. Upon arrival, expect a lengthy check-in. Next you will take a hot elevator the size of a coffin up to your room. You’ll enter a hot room. We immediately went up to the rooftop “pool” which is more like an oversized hot tub. Be sure to have sandals, the artificial decking will scorch your feet in the hot sun. The rooftop deck is surrounded by dead and dying plants — a nice touch. Enjoy the 5ft deep pool while you can — it will soon be filled with people. We took the coffin elevator down where upon exiting you’ll notice a homeless man, a fixture during our stay, along with his box of feces. Back up in the room, be prepared for towels and bed sheets that feel like sandpaper. Be sure to also set your room to do not disturb, as it was clear room service had entered the room multiple times while we were gone, unrequested. On our second night we were awoken at 2AM to a crowd of drunk and drugged guests screaming, yelling, vomiting, banging, knocking on doors and frightening our child. The commotion continued until we called the front desk, along with other guests, sharing our concerns. We were told police were called — the situation was out of the hotel’s control, which is frightening. After a few hours we were able to sleep. But our next day was ruined. This property is close to the centre . Microscopic room, no room service , no coffee maker in room (it’s insulting in Italy. No door man to help with bags , or open the chain to go check in . And then park the car imagine you are VIP and drive 4 hr to relax with your family and no one is there .parking beside is deeply disturbing the guy wanted to double charge . I had to talk to manager and dispute to have a normal rate . Then front desk only one person and people waiting online , then room no coffee maker no alarm no shower gel they put body and head gel to save money 💰, this isn’t for sure not 700 -800 euro room -Room 3x3 meters , Air condition wasn’t working from in the morning and the night before we weren’t able to adjust it .I didn’t even want to be bother at 1200 my midnight talking and requesting again and again after to called the just brought a coffee maker , Total chip chip management non respecting guest as person , not treated well . Worst vip experience ever . Smallest room I have ever booked bak to the elevator vip room ,700 euro are you kidding ….

Glance Hotel is the best place to stay in Florence if you are someone who loves to explore how these ancient streets meander and take you either to the markets, the Piazza, or the Duomo. It is also less than 5 minutes away to the train station on foot. The property is remarkable! I have taken several photos of the dining area, my room, our floor lobby to show to friends and family just how outstanding this place is. It is modern yet it maintains a very classic sense of style. Simply put, I LOVED MY STAY HERE <3<3<3
