Spice Hotel Milano

Well located and nice room with 2 large beds for family of 4

This was our last night in Italy after 6 weeks of traveling in Europe. I've booked Family room with Balcony as this was the biggest room and very close to the train station. Plus to allow our family of 5 to stay together in one room for safety reasons. I've requested to accommodate our 3yo to be able to sleep with parents, which was rejected and I was forced to book another room for 1 person since hotel's policy didn't allow to have more than 4 people in one room. I understand the policy, however a 3yo is not an adult, and there should be some leniency when it comes to small children and accommodating them together with parents. Family room with 2 king size beds can easily accommodate 2 adults and 3 children under 10, which in our case was 'rejected'. As mentioned Family Room consisted of two huge King Size Beds and everywhere else in Europe where we stayed, we had usually two Queen Size beds and no one had ever problem with our 3yo sleeping with parents, besides here. Obviously we did sleep in one room all together, and the other booked additionally room was empty. Room itself was spacious and comfortable. However it had bad smell of chemicals used to clean it and it had some moldy smell in the bathroom. Similar to the 2nd room we've booked. Both bathrooms had unpleasant smells. The bathroom in Family Room was very dark and it lacked some good lighting (plus towel hangers near the shower). Shower was spilling water onto the floor and you could see damage to the bathroom door

Definitely not worth it for value of money we paid!small room for two adults and a baby year and a half!we asked for a baby cot and the mattress was terrible!she can't sleep there so she had to sleep with us! definitely disappointed The services wasn't very bad the room was clean!front desk helpful

This is the worst hotel we have stayed at during all of our travels. Our family stayed in Milan for two nights, checking in on the first evening. Milan had heavy rain, and at that time, a foul smell from the sewer filled our hotel room’s bathroom and spread throughout our entire room in less than 5 minutes. The stench was so overpowering that it was unbearable! The sewer water was making noise, almost overflowing from the walk-in shower drain! My husband and I went downstairs to communicate with the front desk, hoping to get another room, but the response we received was that there were no available rooms. They claimed that during rainy weather in Milan, overflow from the bathroom drain and sewer odor were normal, and the only solution was to wait for the rain to stop so the sewer water would recede. In the end, they sent someone to spray deodorizer in our room as the only thing they could do. From check-in to check-out, the shower curtain in the bathroom was always in a damaged state. It’s not that we didn’t report it to the front desk; they simply ignored everything. Spice Hotel Milano is not a good choice. I recommend finding another hotel that can provide better service.

I was a bit nervous about staying here having read some negative reviews after making our booking but our experience was good! We stayed two nights, arriving and leaving by train so we needed somewhere very close to the station and pubic transport so the location suited us very well. We had a family room on the second floor which was very clean and big enough for two adults and two children with a nice shower. Air con worked fine for us. Staff clearly very busy but helpful and friendly and we had breakfast on one of the mornings which was nice and perfectly good value for the price. Decor in rooms was very modern ...might not be to everyone's taste but we liked it. Overall , as far as we can determine, good value for money for Milan.

Great clean spacious rooms for a family and great location for transport links - but lack of bar / communal area in the hotel made it difficult with young children.

Great location and cleanness. Quadruple room is spacious for family of 4.

The hotel was very nice and loved the large quadruple room for my family. It came with a balcony, but it had no view and no furnishings. Only three large pots with no plants. If you are looking for a balcony, I would go with another option

Hotel is very near to train station. Very convenient. Room are small but comfortable with the price no complaints. Just for basic stay as we are traveling on train, therefore need a clean and comfortable hotel that is near to train station, which this hotel serves our needs. But take note that if your child is under 18 you don’t have to pay for the city tax. Which I over paid. They didn’t refund after I noticed it, just replaced me with bottles of water 😅
