Grand Hotel Tiberio

Stayed with family and it was spacious and good.

We stayed 2 nights with the family. The hotel is walking distance from vatikan which is good. The bad part is , in the second night a bug, most probably bedbug bit my whole back. İt was terrible itching in the next 2-3 days.

This property is quite a piece for the centre of Rome. Navigating transportation is a bit tricky if you want to take a bus (cabs tend to be expensive). The room was not really like the pictures showed. It is in a residential area and you can hear alot of school kids. There are a few restaurants around and a few supermarkets. The area is nice but not central so something to think about. It is quite a bit of a walk to the train station. There is a restaurant and you can buy dinners. The breakfast was a nice bonus, just the same thing every day.

Really nice polite and courteous staff. Lovely breakfast and dinner. Clean room just needs better bedding and furniture upgrade to be perfect! Overall very pleased and plan to return with the family.

Staff were perfunctory at best apart from Mimo in the restaurant who was great. Nice communal areas. Room had fantastic high ceilings and was cleaned every day. But definitely an issue with ac which seemed stuck on 24 degrees! Bus/ metro journey of 45mins minimum to get to main sites. Hotel did offer a free shuttle service to the Vatican and Castile de St Angelo but this was often full and not the best location to get to the rest of the city with two small children. Recommend for business stay.

I traveled with my 7 year old and my elder mother. Accommodations where comfortable. Our room and Hotel were well kept. Breakfast was very nice. I personally did not like the scramble eggs nor the bacon but I saw lots of people eating them. we had dinner 3 nights in the hotel and the food was very good. We where there from Feb 16th to the 23rd. There was a transportation issue and we had trouble getting from other locations to the Hotel. Nobody seems to know the location of the hotel nor the Via Latanzio. The front desk help us get information for the fast train to Pisa. but forgot to tell us that the trains going back to the hotel stop by 10:30pm. Just want them to be aware of this for future references. Should let visitors know the schedule of the public transportation when traveling to other cities. I had to walk with my mother and my daughter for 2 hours trying to get to the hotel. We finally got a bus that we waited on for an hour. was really scary at night and we were cold and tired. The neighborhood where the hotel is located gives a bad impression at first, but once you walk the are and talk to the locals you see a different picture of it. Very nice friendly people. overall we had a nice experience at this hotel. I recommended for families on a budget. I would stay there again. Thank you! L
