We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were great, especially Ricardo and Ettore (I hope I spelled that right? He works at the front desk) everyone was very friendly, the continental breakfast was expansive and included a lot of food for 15 euros each and we actually found that we preferred the restaurant food at the hotel far more than many of the restaurants we tried in the city and it's much less expensive. The only problem we had was the king bed. It was extremely worn and I ended up having to use our air mattress for my husband because after one night, he couldn't walk and my back was in a lot of pain as well. Definitely need to upgrade the mattress but overall our stay with a family of 4 in the loft room was exceptional. The hotel was clean, the bathroom had great water pressure, it was a 2 minute walk to the Vatican entrance, lots of shopping, food and gelato nearby.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The room was clean and had plenty of space for a family of 4. Very close proximity to the Vatican which was a big attraction for our family.

The hotel was lovely. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming and the family room, although compact, had a real “wow” factor due to the split level set-up and a plant through both levels! The main bed upstairs was large and comfortable, and the kids beds downstairs were a little more basic, but they found them comfortable enough.
We booked the sauna room and was pleasantly surprised by the facilities which were small and limited to 4 people, just right for us, with the benefit of being exclusively for us for the duration of the booking.
The location of the hotel right on the Vatican City border wall was perfect and was literally a minute Walk from the entrance to the Vatican museum, and a few minutes further to St Peter’s Square. Central Rome was 20 minutes on the metro.
We didn’t eat at the hotel as there were lots of nice restaurants within a few minutes walk (as a result of the competition there is quite a lot of touting for business).
If I was being picky I would say we could have done with a little more storage upstairs, and the downstairs wardrobe was a squeeze for us all. There were 2 televisions, one on each level, but because it was open plan the remote control on one level would control both sets!
Overall, an excellent weekend stay in a modern hotel, with great customer service and positive experience! We will definitely return the this Best Western hotel.

The room is great!... A duplex that can comfortably sleep 5 (2 adults & 3 kids) with sky lights with automatic shades.
The staff were lovely and check-in was smooth.
The parking garage is a bit complicated. Its a big plus to have it, but key card access would be a group add to the process (versus having staff walk you in etc.).

I frequently travel and rarely complain about hotels as a price and its location is known and agreed to when booked.
In this case, I.booked a "quadruple" occupancy family room capable of having 4 persons. At the hotel I was forced to pay extra for the 3rd and 4th family members in the room which was $20 euros p/p per night. Don't advertise a quadruple room then charge extra for it!
A $15 EUR fee also added for a buffet breakfast p/p per day.which is normally fine but when paying a large sum such as this for a Best Western, I find it a bit ridiculous and is just simply gouging visitors.
My expected/advertised rate was $1000 euros for 3 nights which included the normal taxes/fees etc.
Total bill was over $1300 EU for 3 nights at a Best Western with limited facilities and so so location. NOT IMPRESSED!
A few of the staff members were ok, but others lacked knowledge of the area and only 1 room key given.
The area around the hotel was VERY dirty with alot of garbage on the streets. I understand this is not the Hotels fault but just want others to know.
This hotel was booked months in advance (not a late booking) Its very close to the Vatican but a significant distance to other Rome attractions (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colloseum)
Be careful when booking this hotel! Ensure you are paying for what is advertised and included/excluded.
We stayed 2 other nights in area close to Trevi Fountain which was far superior in terms price, location and area cleanliness.
