The Independent Hotel

There was 3 of us on a family trip. Not worth 500per night on a family room. The pictures are very deceiving. It did not look like the pictures at all. The family room looks like two separate rooms with the bed and the sleeping sofa for the third person online and when we got to the hotel it’s Jsut like a regular room with an extra couch no balcony. The whole thing was very disappointing. 1 elevator for the entire building was wasting everyone’s time coming up and down. Breakfast was also disappointing . Lots of major improvement that needs to be done here and I feel like I got robbed spending 1500 for 3 nights on a hotel that had all of these attributes. Also very small reception. Nearly missed it. Only plus is - it’s next to Rome TERMINI station so accessibility was good.

We were so pleased with our choice of hotel! Great location, just across the road from Roma Termini station, which was easy to reach on a frequent train service from the airport. We initially chose this hotel as it was a little cheaper than those located more centrally, but felt the location was actually better, and walking into the centre took only around 20 minutes. The area felt safe, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was served on the rooftop restaurant, with views across Rome. Good selection of food available, with additional items such as pancakes at an extra charge. On one evening we were there there was a live Blues trio on the rooftop terrace, which was lovely. The room was clean and very comfortable. We had a family room, and our daughters each had a comfortable single bed. There was a bottle of wine in the room on arrival, and a coffee machine too. For my husbands birthday, they left some little cakes in the room and a happy birthday note! Highly recommend, we will definitely return! Decent value for the price too.

Exceeded my expectations: location, service, cleanliness and convenience is the hallmark of this hotel. Staff, especially Monia at reception desk given extra effort to accommodate my family of four on early arrival and throughout ou stay- thank you Monia! I’d choose this hotel again- everyone and everything was pleasant.

Fabulous hotel! We are a family of four with two boys ages 9 and 10. We had a room and the boys slept on the sofa bed in the living room area, which was actually two separate beds. The beds were super comfortable for all of us. The staff were very friendly. There was a bottle of wine and handwritten note waiting for us when we arrived and this is the first hotel I’ve stayed in where the first round of mini bar items are included! There is a wonderful restaurant next door called Diana’s Place-I would highly recommend. The rooftop for breakfast was a beautiful setting (also delicious options) and at night, there was a jazz band (the entertainment varies)-a great way to wind down the evening. The location is great as it is easy walking distance from the Roma Termini train station. We walked with our luggage no problem. We stayed just one night, to catch the Leonardo express to the airport for an early morning flight. Wish we could have stayed another night!

Great hotel for a city trip to Rome. We had a family room for 3 of us and friends had 4 in theirs. Location was right by the Rome Grand Station and prob 20-30 mins walk to Colosseum. Easy to get taxis but highly recommend the walk as the city has so much great things to see. The breakfast in the roof terrace and dinner/bar was excellent place to relax in the evening and enjoy a drink / food.

The room was very clean with very friendly staff. They were always ready to help. The breakfast was excellent, including the chef who was always smiling and accommodating. Easy to walk around in the area. The garage dumpsters across the street was a big issue and the staff felt bad too. This is the city commission and they cannot do anything. I would recommend for the family as it’s in the center of the city
