Palazzo Montemartini Rome, A Radisson Collection Hotel

We booked a junior suite, but the suite we were given initially did not live up to the word “suite.” It had a strange layout, was dark, and had a washroom spread across different parts of the room. In a word, it was a poorly designed suite that felt like a rip-off given the price. We were later moved to another suite, which was much better but still did not offer good value for money. Our recent stay at a junior suite in the Westin may have set high expectations. On the plus side, the staff were helpful and courteous.

This beautiful property is located directly across from the train station - Roma termini. We booked one night for its location but will be back again as it was so elegant! My family loved it, we need more time to enjoy more!

After traveling across Europe for a few weeks the final stop for our stay in Rome was here at this hotel. I hate leaving negative reviews but feel the experience myself and my Aunt had here should be shared with those who may have high hopes for booking this property. When we checked in the phone in the room was not working. I couldn't call down the to front desk, spa or room service. Instead I was using my personal cell phone to reach the hotel. This was not only a hassle but also at my own expense. After taking spa appointments we witnessed two young couples in the jacuzzi hot tub in the spa area behaving very inappropriately. It was disgusting illicit acts that do not need to be repeated here. I will say we are just glad that we did not have children with us. When I spoke to Marco the manager about this he seemed to smile and find this concern amusing. I was disappointed with the phone not working in the room as well and I had the feeling I was bothering him with these matters. Lastly, to make us 100% sure we will never stay at this hotel again, when eating breakfast at the Senses restaurant downstairs, my Aunt got very sick. She has been traveling and didn't have anything to eat until this meal at the hotel. We are sure it was the omelet she had there and sadly could not eat or sleep for a day and a half. The photos look nice and the location was great however if you can find a better spot for your money I would recommend it. This was a big let down for us.

We were only in Rome for the one day, so decided to spoil ourselves and book a junior suite - liked the balustrading and the large open windows on the site. Very convenient location just across the road from the Termini station. Impressive looking building. We were shown to an attic room which was one of the concierge's "favourite suites", which looked uncannily like the standard room from the pictures available on Expedia. I'm 6 foot plus and couldn't see out of the windows and it was quite drab and claustrophobic. We asked to move and were moved down one floor to something that still looked nothing like the room we'd booked. We were told the rooms were "all unique", but these two rooms looked identical to the two cheapest example rooms on the website. Have never enjoyed being ripped off and that's what this felt like. Room tastefully modern and quirky, but won't to be everyone's taste. Disappointing for the money spent.
