The Hive Hotel

We had a family of six and reserved three rooms. Two of the three rooms were great but one was just alright. The third room did not have a shower curtain and the shower was very small. Each room was slightly different as the other two had some shower facilities that were fine. It would have been a littler nicer if wash cloths had been provided, but none of the 3 rooms had that. Overall everyone enjoyed their stay and I would recommend to others.

Three rooms for us and our kids

Do not stay at The Hive! Our family arrived early to check in at The Hive. Our luggage was taken into luggage storage as our room was not available yet. Upon our return and retrieval of our luggage, we quickly learned that two iPads were STOLEN from one of our bags that had been stored. Upon confronting management, we were told that they had video of the area and would check it. We filed a police report and the next day we met the Front Office Manager who reviewed the video and confirmed that the iPads were taken from our backpack. He assured us that we would be covered through hotel insurance as we had video and a police report. We departed the next day with some level of comfort. It has now been 4 weeks, and despite several attempts to contact the hotel we have received no response and are left to assume that this matter is no longer of concern to them. Terrible experience.

This hotel has very lack of understanding about our family emergency. We understood that we had a non-refundable booking. However, due to family emergency, we got in touch with Hotels.com on the day before checking in, to see if they could do anything. Hotels.com helped us to talk to the hotel but they did not offer any support whatsoever. We made the right decision not going to Rome. as our father passed away the day after. I gave this hotel 3 star review because of that.
