Hotel Savoy

The staff went above and beyond service. We accidentally received the wrong room and they changed it immediately. Our family has been coming for many many years and we always look forward to our visit in Rome and The Savoy!

As a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children aged 6, 11, 14) we stayed in 2 rooms which were spacious and comfortable for us. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful (and their English was superb, thankfully). Breakfast catered well for our family and there were plenty of restaurants in the area (La Scala round the corner was our favourite). As we visited at the end of August when it was still hot, we used the air con in our rooms which worked well (left it on during the day and switched it off during the night) - we had seen previous reviews saying the air con was insufficient, but this was not the case for our stay. One watch out if you have young children - we were on the 5th floor and the windows open wide (no restrictions) with a sheer drop to the ground floor court yard. The hotel location is excellent and we walked to many of the main central Rome attractions - the bus tours also leave very close to the hotel.
