FH55 Grand Hotel Palatino

The rook upgrade they gave me was in terrible condition. Room 155 specifically should be off the market. I was gone all day and finally got to the room at night and it Smells like mold and the ac filters were so dirty that it blows out over the bed. WAs tik exhausted to request for a room change and then told the management about it in the morning. I was so disappointed because my kids room in the 7th floor was beautiful and modern and i was supposed to get a room near it but instead they said they gave me an upgrade to a first floor unit. Management later said that they are in the process of renovation but the hotel is so big and didn’t get to My unit yet. That room should be condemned. It made my stay in Rome the least memorable part. Although mgmt was nice and said they would give me some credit, I have yet to receive any. And this is my first time ever I rated a room so terrible but I don’t want anyone to spend $$$ on a room that smells like mold and has thick dirty ac filters blowing out over the bed. This hotel should have never being rated a 4-star one. First, it had not a very diverse guest crowd. More than once I've caught someone starring weirdly at our diverse family. I felt very uncomfortable. There's no air conditioning- so the room felt stuffy and we have to open the windows. Needless to say, Rome is loud at nighttime- so we got no sleep at our first night. There was also a housekeeper roaming outside the walls most of the day - very creepy. In the end, we had one item of our belongings gone while we were sightseeing. We brought that up to the front desk attention, but none did anything about it. We are aware the world has been hit harshly by covid, specially Italy. But other Italian hotels still have better service than this one. Sorry, but i have to give it a thumbs down 👎 .
