Great location. Friendly staff. Price was high without breakfast included, and the bed for my kids was a sofa-bed that was very uncomfortable and needs to be vacuumed in it and under it.

The staff here were all very friendly and they make a cappuccino better than any overpriced coffee chain store but I have no idea what was going on with the housekeeping. I had to go down and keep asking for soap, shampoo, etc. I should not have to. And I was totally misled by the word “cosy” when I booked this room. There was absolutely no room left by the time my husband and I got in there with our luggage. This kind of room is fine if you are by yourself or you want to put little kids in it but two adults? Nope! And why no little refrigerator or coffee maker/tea kettle? The hotel itself is in an excellent location in Dublin, very close to everything and it’s very well maintained.

We really enjoyed the hotel - we had the family suite which was perfect for a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. The restaurant / bar was so good for a hotel - they make an amazing flaming Paloma which was incredible - and breakfast in the hotel was a pretty amazing buffet. We stayed over St. Patrick's day and couldn't believe how safe and quiet the hotel was despite being a 5-10 minute walk from where all the 'fun' was!

Check in was difficult even though we’ve stayed here multiple times. Used self service check in but when required help found that staff were standing around uninterested in dealing with customers. 5-6 members of staff not engaging with customers only joking amongst themselves. Booked a family room for the night which cost €439. Not cheap. There was an opened bottle of water left behind from previous guests. Plug on my side of the bed was not working. Not enough towels for 4 people to have showers and dry hair. Sofa bed not made up for my 2 children At dinner was brought out the wrong meal. Had already waited almost 30 minutes for it to arrive. Waiter thought I ordered the mussels for starter whereby I ordered the cod with mussels as a main. Due to slowness I ended up having a starter instead of a main course. Not happy. Due to receiving a starter instead of a main course I asked for a side of fries to bulk up my dinner. They also never arrived and I was subsequently charged for them. Incredibly bad service

Absolutely shocking customer service was disgraceful they looked their noses down on anyone who was not business class and they treated you appalling when asked for assistance had 2 children and ended up leaving crying and overwhelmed not family friendly at all and did want to help staff all had an attitude like they were better than you especially managers or so called managers as no one had name badges on

Perfect location by St Stephen’s Green with parking just across the road at a rate of €25 for hotel guests (€41 per 24/hrs normally). Bright spacious foyer, attentive reception staff and facilitated taking our bags as we arrived early. Room king but tight & compact, suitable close friends, family, couples - nice L’Occitane bathroom supplies a real bonus. Serve yourself breakfast was varied, fresh with plenty of seating. I’d have like better coffee but such a small thing overall

While the room we were in was very tiny per U.S. standards, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The king sized bed took up more than 1/3 of the room, but it was so comfortable. The black-out blinds were great for the early morning sun. The location couldn’t be beat! Just a block away from St. Steven’s Green and Grafton Street, it was very easy to walk to all of the destinations we wanted to visit, pubs and cafes, shopping, and nightlife. The staff were helpful and accommodating as we were able to book an additional night (for a regular rate) due to our flight being cancelled. The interior is very modern with a bar and restaurant on site (although it’s more cost effective to eat off the premises at a local pub). But we enjoyed our stay and I have already recommended the Marlin to friends and family if they ever visit Dublin!

We were able to secure a suite that included one King bed and one sofa bed for our children. The room was lovely and the sofabed but uncomfortable (but I've never met a comfy sofa bed). My husband loved the gym for his daily workouts, the kids liked the morning breakfast buffet and I liked that it was within walking distance of everything we wanted to do in Dublin! (it should be noted that we saw the standard rooms and they looked VERY SMALL - so we were happy with our decision!).

This is a far cry from a 4 star hotel. I have stayed in hostels that had much better quality to price ratios. The rooms are extremely bare bones. There is a giant bed and about nothing else much, not even closet space. If you are travelling with a large suitcase, you will be in trouble. If you have two or more large suitcases, your room will become impassable. There is a night club on the south side of the building that is open until 3am on weekends. We were lucky to be able to change rooms and that helped a lot, but the first night, we couldn't sleep until after the club closed. The hot water ran out the second night. There is never anyone answering the phone at the reception. The staff who do work there are exceedingly nice. There is just very few of them. The lobby is also very nice, and you can hang out in the bar area outside after the bars close if you need a night cap. 20 min ride to the airport. Overall, this would be a good experience for a single traveller, if it wasn't so expensive. I will not recommend it to families, especially if you travel with a lot of luggage or children.
