Great location - directly across from the Blarney Castle and Blarney Stone. House is charming and the staff made us feel like family. We had a complimentary breakfast which was fabulous! It is also next door to the Woolen Mills - a shopper's dream! The only downside was the bathroom was a little outdated and the faucet cover fell off. There is not much to do at night in the town but there is another restaurant in the town and also, the pub at the hotel (which is really a B&B) was great and welcoming and filled with locals. I would say not good for kids!

Great old period family run hotel close to Cork but far enough away to get out of the rat race of the city, with all the modern facilites. With a pub and resturant on the bottom floor, with lots of local flavor. And within walking distance (one block) from the Blarney Castle. Staff (the whole family) was so friendly and helpfull, i felt like it was more of a homecoming than just being another guest. Most comfortable home like hotel i have ever stayed at in my many trips. A great break from the revolving door cookie cutter chain hotels.
