This is our second time to stay at the Metropolitan Hotel. We have 3 bookings this month. It is our favorite hotel in Delhi. The staff is so friendly and so helpful. Special thanks to Rikit at reception and to Ashok of housekeeping. We enjoy interacting with them. They treat us like family. Location is perfect. It is right next to the Gole market so we had many oppotunities to buy silk fabric and sari's and have it tailored for just $5/trousers and $5/shirt. It is also within striking distance of several attractions. You can take a tuktuk or taxi to get to the major attractions as it is in a good location. The hotel is very clean and even smells good. I love their toiletries as it smells luxurious. The room size is perfect and is equipped with useful conveniences. Breakfast is really good. It is in a very safe area. We are out shopping til late night. There is a Catholic Church nearby so we get to hear Mass daily. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the biggest Sikh temple is Delhi is also within 5-min walk. We will always stay at the Metropolitan Hotel when in Delhi.

The customer service was excellent- could not do enough and met all our requests including providing a room with more space for family of 3 The club package is highly recommended for drinks and appetisers which was tasteful and delicious from the Chutney tandoori snd bar. Staff extremely polite recommend this hotel to others and would stay here again for sure 👍

The hotel looks good. Room service is good. We requested some non-standard things for our baby and they arranged for it. That made us happy. The location is good too. It is close enough to the airport as well as to the Nizamuddin station. Breakfast was disappointing. We had to repeatedly ask for basic things such as water and tea. The presentation was poor. Cereals seemed scattered everywhere. We kept waiting for bowls for various things. The person making omelettes seemed too unhappy. Also the tandoori rotis were either burnt or too raw every time we ordered food in the room. The check-in staff doesn't seem prepared to handle international customers. They employ the usual manner of keeping busy with random stuff until approached, instead of paying attention to the next person waiting in the line. They don't allow autorickshaws to the front of the door, unlike taxis. That is such a reminder of the colonial era attitudes. Once when returning to the hotel we took a rickshaw and they made us get down on the roadside and walk to the hotel. Why do you assume that your guests will only take cabs?
