Gran Hotel Paris

I came in to town to visit my family. The hotel I normally book was sold out. So this was the “second best” and it was a major downgrade. Hotel was dated. Shower was dirty. There were no hand towels or wash cloths. Phone did not work when tried to call the front desk about the toilet that would not work. Pool had mold all around the side. Had to return the AC and TV remotes to the front desk. There was construction going on during my whole stay. Male staff (front desk and server in restaurant) was nicer than the female staff. If you can, try to stay somewhere else.

The stay was OK, not good, not bad. Hotel was very clean, the guard was very helpful with our bags. I booked a triple bed room through hotels.com for me and 3 kids. When I checked in, they wanted to charge me extra saying I only had 2 adults on the reservation, which was my error. However, it was a triple room so not sure why that would be more. The pool was green and out of order, would not have booked knowing that. The restaurant was fairly priced and food was OK. Was fine for a quick one night stay passing through La Ceiba.

I’ve always stayed at this hotel for years when my family and I visit for holidays. The staff are always friendly and attentive, which makes our stay and experience that much more comfortable.
