Concorde Hotel

Did not enjoy our stay here one bit. The first room we were given was on floor 6, with the elevator only going up to floor 5 and then a set of stairs. Would have been ok except we had a stroller and 4 month old with us. I would have expected the receptionist to think about this and adjust to a different room if that was possible. He was a little rude. The room we arrived at absolutely stank of smoke - Horrendous. I complained and we were able to move to a room on the third floor (so there were more child and stroller friendly rooms available). Room was small and gradually smelt like cigarettes as the night went on. The only good thing was it’s closeness to the train station. However, the area around the train station is awful. Not safe for families- incredibly busy and full of drug dealing and transient folks. We felt really unsafe waking around and could not wait to leave the hotel and area. Thankfully we were only there one night and our purpose was to be near the train station. I would avoid this hotel and area. Don’t know how it has good reviews.
