Hamburger Hof Hotel

The hotel is nice and clean, conveniently localted near the main train station but unfortunately it is not the best area in the city to walk at night. It is not their fault or responsibility, but you have to take it into consideration when planning to stay there with your family

I have used this hotel several times, it is ver convenient since it is directly next to the railway station, the rooms are ok and quiet. When I have to start the next morning from Frankfurt airport, this is my hotel of choice. Of course the district around the railway station has some unpleasant parts, but where the hotel is, it is ok. I have also stayed there with my family, including three children, and I will use this hotel again.

Very cute hotel but, small. Although we booked for three, the room was designed for two with an added bed that was squeezed in by the window. Not suitable for families with small children, but perfect for people who are there to see the sights. Literally right across from a main train depot!

We visited Frankfurt for the Christmas markets with our 4 kids under 13. The hotel staff, in particular Esra and Renata were very helpful to arrange transfers to/from the airport. We had two separate rooms but located next to each other which worked out fine. The hotel is immaculately clean and very modern. It was the perfect base to visit the markets which are just two stops away on the U4/U5 subway, the hotel is directly across the road from the train station. Unfortunately the area itself is quite run down and the city has a very obvious drug and homelessness problem. The hotel is also directly across from police HQ so occasional sirens are to be expected although it wasn't too disruptive.

Nicely renovated small hotel close to the main train station, which is a public transport nodal point (long range and regional trains, tram, bus, underground). Small but well equipped rooms; good continental breakfast; friendly staff. The slowest elevator on Earth I have ever taken, which is a bit annoying when you have to take it (broken leg)... The streets around have plenty of small bars and restaurants, but also refugees (due to the location). I would definitely recommend this hotel for any business trip; maybe not for a family getaway.
