Hôtel La Villa Nice Victor Hugo

The junior suite was incredible! Definitely recommend booking that room there. They provided robes, slippers and had beautiful views of the city.

Great location Very walkable. Tons of restaurants, shopping, etc. AC is controlled so the room temp was an issue. The elevator has no light inside. The shower is level with floor and only has a curtain that goes around it. The bathroom was flooded in seconds. Could be very dangerous with small children, elderly or mobility issues . The staff could be a little more friendly and courteous. Overall ok.

Clean, modern, bright & well decorated. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We had a family room (Executive) with 1 king bed and 2 single beds which was perfect even with our tall teenagers age 15 & 17. The room is quite spacious, bigger than it seems on the photos, and has a lovely large shower room. Air con was great, also we could alternatively we could open the doors to the balcony for fresh air which was lovely first thing in the morning. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but friends did and they were impressed with the selection and quality of the food. We visited cafes nearby which were also very good for breakfast/brunch. It's in a great location and easy to walk to the beach, to the shopping areas and restaurants, and the Jean Médecin tram stop is just a couple of minutes walk down the street. This hotel was perfect for our 2 night stay in Nice.

The hotel is small but cute. I honestly booked it by accident, without realizing it doesn't come with parking. So that was a BIG pain the neck, but I was told that very little hotels in Nice come with parking. So we parked in a nearby parking. The staff was exceptionally helpful, they even upgraded us to a junior suit. The AC was old and we were told that it can only maintain a temperature 5 degrees less than the outside temperature, which was not great considering we had 40 C that day. However, over night it cooled down and we had a very nice and restful sleep. Hotel is very quiet. Breakfast is decent, coffee not so much. Overall, I think it was a good value for the money, but I will never book a hotel in the South of France without strong AC and parking. And probably never stay here again.

Loved EVERYTHING!!! Great view; bright, clean, quiet, and spacious room for a family of four. Would absolutely recommend this hotel and wouldn’t look elsewhere if staying in Nice again. Great value for money!
