Hôtel Du Pont Vieux

Absolutely wonderful family-run hotel just outside the medieval walls of Carcassonne with an amazing view at the old town from the terrace on the top floor. Located inside an old building, it’s modern inside and very well-maintained. The owners have thought through every detail. The rooms are well planned and very comfortable. The little garden in the back and the patio are so beautiful! The customer service was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!

Fantastic small family run hotel. Very happy friendly staff with a good vibe. Everywhere was very clean. Beds very comfortable and quality bedding. Air conditioned. Handy for both main parts of Carcassonne. Staff could not be more pleasant or more helpful. Very good for providing gluten free bread. Lovely shaded garden where you can have a drink at very reasonable prices. We loved the welcome and general feel of this hotel. Couldn't get over how friendly and welcoming the owners and staff were. The breakfast was lovely.

Way better than 3*. This is a hidden gem with very clean, well designed rooms, lovely bathrooms and a fabulous garden area with a fountain. Customer service was a friendly family who made exceptional restaurant recommendations. Location is perfect for a short (15 minutes) walk to train station and it is at the base of the citadel (10 minutes) up the hill to the castle. A rooftop deck at the hotel offers a gorgeous view at sunset.

Very cute little hotel run by a family. Owners were very friendly and helpful and the room was small but excellent condition and also parking available for a good price. The best view of Carcassonne La Cite from the rooftop balcony and 15 minutes walk from the hotel. I highly recommend anyone to stay at Hotel Du Pont Vieux when you’re in Carcassonne
