Hôtel du Bois Champs-Elysées

We booked a prestige TRIPLE room and got a classic Double room with a squeezed in small bed. It was ridiculous and they denied giving us a refund saying they don’t have any other free rooms and they did what they could. We could have paid $100 less for this. Getting to the hotel is inconvenient, especially if you have a child.

We had 3 guests in the hotel as part of a family trip to Paris. It was very well located for walking to the subway at either Victor Hugo or Charles de Gaulle—Etoile. As an aside, subway rides are a buy at less than 1/2 the rates of an Uber ride for 3 riders, and even better with fewer riders. A book of 10 tickets costs less than 15 Euros. There is a market right under the hotel called MonoP’— great salads, fruits, and prepackaged meals, as well as odds and ends. There is a fabulous bakery called Madison Julambre very near Ru De Dome— croissants, coffees (actually Nespresso pods) quiches and pastries that were all very reasonable. There was a Thai buffet type restaurant also on the same street as the hotel on Rue Du Dome that looked very promising but we did not actually eat there. Finally, a laundry was a block away from the hotel. English was spoken well enough to translate whatever we needed to accomplish. While the rooms can accommodate 3 beds, 2 beds would probably be best for the size of the rooms. The price of the hotel seemed very fair and reasonable for the quality, location and service. We stayed a total of 6 nights.
