Superior room for 2 adults 2 children was nice & comfy. Walk-in wardrobe was really big but coat hangers were semi broken. Anything heavy would not hang and fall to the floor. Shame there were no hooks on walls despite the massive space. Kettle and coffee machine had short leads so we had to put them on the floor in order to reach plug sockets. Not the best situation with a toddler. Swimming pool was nice but full of unfriendly adults (French/English/Belgium) who made it clear children were not welcome?? Naked man with "stick" (according to my 3 year old) between legs came out of steam room!! What the hell was that? We had to leave obviously. Something not quite right with the leisure facilities! Had dinner at the restaurant and this was one of the most awful dinners we ever had. Cold fries with loads of salt tasted of old oil. Entrecôte was hard, chewy & covered in salt. Ordered green beans but mainly got peas soaked in old oil. Disgusting! Hash brown for my burger was soaked in old oil as well. The only acceptable food was the mince meat patties for my children and myself. Will never eat there again! Also, apart from 1 waitress, the restaurant staff could not care less! We also had breakfast which compared to dinner was really good except for the beans (french tasting) and the sausages which were a bit too salty. We will stay there again but avoid the restaurant!

Hotel in itself was good. Restaurant at the hotel was not good. Very limited menu. To make it worse, our first choices were not even available that day. We did not get a kids menu so ordered from the normal menu for them. Turns out there was a kids menu but had to specifically ask for it. Just give the kids menu when you see two little kids at the table. We asked our meat to be medium and the daughter’s burger to be well done. Our meat was rare (but scorched on the outside) and our chicken raw, daughter’s burger was raw in the middle. Like actually raw, not cooked. Staff was kind enough to give completely new dishes. Insides were OK the second time, but outside was even more scorched. Other daughter picked the vegan carbonara, which she likes normally. She didn’t want to eat this one. We told her to not be so fussy, until we tasted it ourselves. It was disgusting.

Issue we had was no cot bed, they said the room wasn’t big enough. We were staying as 4 two adults two children but our youngest was 7months so had to co sleep (no sleep) on something they call a sofa bed. That’s the only gripe really I paid £150 to try to sleep on a knackered sofa bed.

We have stayed here a few times before going back to the UK. For reasons unknown, we were given an easy access/assisted room. I wasnt told this in advance which is disappointing given I was booked a suite! The restaurant is now very expensive. 10 Euros for a very disappointing dessert does stick in the throuat a bit. However, some of this was countered by the fact we did grt a free childrens meal. The food overall was good.

The hotel itself is good, nicely set, in peasant grounds. Reception staff were peasant and professional. Rooms large and comfortable. It went wrong at dinner. I appreciate, at the moment, it is difficult to recruit staff for hospitality, but the youngsters serving us, though quite pleasant, were in desperate need of training. There was a manger who was a little older, but she wasn’t managing. She took the orders for the meal and in some cases delivered them to the table. My wife’s brochette of fish was nicely cooked and pleasant to eat. However, my mixed grill was a disaster. I was only offered ‘medium’ or ‘well done’ options for the steak and chops. I said ‘rosé’ though normally I would order ‘saignant’, but rare was not on offer. What arrived was very overcooked meat, except for a lamb chop, which was just about medium, but not ‘rosé’. Another chop was inedible, and the small piece of steak was very well done. I pointed out the state of the meat to the manager, and she agreed it was not right. I was offered the same again, but declined. Generally, the attitude of the manager was off-hand to the point of rudeness. It was such a pity. The whole dining experience was at odds with the standard of the rest of the hotel. I wonder how often senior managers observe what is going on in their restaurant. Because of its position close to the Le Shuttle terminal, we may stay there again, but what we will do about eating is still to be decided.

Booked this as an inexpensive stopover whilst driving the family from Disneyland back home to Bristol. Was very pleasantly surprised... The hotel is modern, clean and had friendly staff. Food and drink in the pub/restaurant was very good and not extortionate (although our expectation was probably set spending a few days near Disney!). The family room was huge and very comfortable, with a very clean bathroom that rivals hotels charging double the cost for a night's stay. Thoroughly recommended.

Perfect location for the proximity to the eurotunnel. Very comfortable beds but we had a flickering light in our bathroom which was a dying light bulb, which apparently they couldn’t replace until the next morning when the hotel electrician would arrive, which was a bit frustrating. Also the soap hadn’t been checked so we needed to get a new one. The indoor pool was great for the kids but a little too cold. Although it’s not that far in the car, we did feel a little too far away to pop into another restaurant at night, as you are a little out of town so we stayed at the hotel restaurant which was definitely pricier than if we had eaten out. There was only the one place to eat in the hotel. Also we had been staying in other hotels in France where we were used to not paying for extras such as water for the table etc.
