Family room was very noisy. Hotel roof rattles in the wind very badly and there was regular loud noise from another source like extractors / ventilation behind the room. Our children were upset.

Great staff - very helpful and polite. All spoiled by the fact that it’s less of an hotel and more of a military barracks and control centre for the local CRS. Sharing the hotel with a significant number of black uniformed and booted riot police, many wearing revolvers, made us feel very uncomfortable. They created a menacing presence in what should be a family hotel. We will never stay here again. A great pity since the staff tried so hard to make us welcome.

We stayed in two rooms - two couples. Our room was very clean but our family reported that theirs had hairs on shower walls, which is always an unpleasant find. There was some water damage to the ceiling but only cosmetic. Our room had a faulty bathroom light when we arrived - late on Friday evening, about 11 pm. The receptionist arrived promptly and was extremely helpful. Although the light could not be fixed, he removed the faulty bulb which was constantly flashing, so the problem was fixed within the 15 minute pledge the hotel has (fix your problem or room for free. We were impressed with the speed and helpful attitude of the receptionist who also spoke excellent English. There was a lot of police presence in the hotel car park due to immigration problems the area is experiencing, however our stay was trouble free. The bed and pillows were lovely and comfortable, the power shower excellent. We would stay there again.
