You get what you pay for, so keeping that in mind. The star rating is relevant however the staff are 6 star in my books. Without a doubt the staff are amazing and very interactive. Absolute paradise right on beach front. We had one of the best relaxing holidays ever staying at the Hideaway and we are bring more of the family back next time.

The staff was fantastic and had the Fijian hospitality to the max.If wasn't for them, the place would suffer. Did find that the maintenance of certain areas needed T.L.C. All in all it is a beautiful and very family orientated Resort and we would go back there again.

Great family holiday with 2 kids - we stayed a week and we all absolutely loved this resort, from the warm welcome with smiles, bula and a refreshing tropical juice, till we reluctantly left to go back home, accompanied by a roll of traditional drums and lovely staff members waving goodbye at the car. The staff are amazing, kind , helpful and made us feel special . The location is great, right on a coral beach with plenty of snorkelling and kayak opportunities ( equipment is available at no cost) . Sunsets are awesome and picture perfect. There are lots of activities to keep you entertained and help make new friends. I loved the aqua gym and the sun dance at 12, they made me feel part of a lovely community. The swimming pool is gorgeous and the slide is fun ( very fast though !) . The food is ok and the Japanese restaurant is fantastic. Breakfast is abundant and varied. The Bure have everything you need and are set in a luscious and well kept tropical garden. We visited other resorts for the day and found them very impersonal , fancy but not authentic, and were happy to go back to our Hideaway where we felt we were really in Fiji. We will definitely visit this resort again! Vinaka !

To say this resort is tired and rundown is an understatement. It’s clear that no money has been spent on it post Covid. We stayed in a Beachfront Bure and it wasn’t like the photos. We had mould in the shower and housekeeping barely cleaned the room. Our toddlers feet were constantly black. No towels in the room upon check in and after calling to request some it took a long time for them to arrive (hours) and when they did, they didn’t supply any for our children. Wifi only in the main area which does not reach the rooms. It was unfortunate that Cyclone Mal went through during our stay. We were ill informed and strangely staff boarded up the vacant rooms but wouldn’t board up our windows even though we had two children under two & were beachfront. The outdoor bath was unusable due to the dirt and debris from the cyclone and nobody cleaned it up. The resort lost power and their generator malfunctioned. Each staff member would tell us a different story. After 17 hours of no power, no room phone, flat mobiles, no shower, stifling hot Bure and two cranky babies who couldn’t sleep, we moved resorts so we could get some comfort and air conditioning. The arrangement was that the Hideaway would pay for our two nights accommodation at the alternate resort but we needed to pay upfront and then go through Expedia to recoup the funds….the hideaway have retracted their word now that we are back home & told Expedia they would only refund two unused nights at their resort.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 kids, however it turned out very stressful for my kids since there was heaps of stray cats and dogs around , being parents of kids who are scared of cats made it very difficult to handle their fear to go around the resort. And there was no mention about cats or dogs anywhere while booking and we can’t say cats and dogs are everywhere since I never had problems in any other resort I stayed during my visit to Fiji. Overall resort staff was very nice however franjapani Bure needs a lot of maintenance.

Very family friendly resort but some of the villas are in desperate need of updating which can significantly affect reviews. We knew it was a bit old so weren't disappointed as was what we expected. We (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed in villa 1 which was right next to the dive shop / pool area but actually not too noisy. However there were only 3 single power points in the whole villa! A simple update would be to provide powerboards, a better update would be to replace the single power points with double power points and add power points to the bedrooms (easy to do as the existing power points are on the other side of the bedroom walls). The bathroom was the original from the 1990s, just with the floor tiles replaced, it really needs to be totally replaced. The resort itself would have been lovely if the weather had been good but it rained 3.5 out of the 4 days we were there, and then there really is nothing to do, so make sure you bring card games and books with you, though there is a library hidden away in the kids club. Lots of cats and kittens which the kids loved as we are cat people. Food was really very good and well priced - kids meals were only $7FJD and we had some delicious fish dishes. Japanese style restaurant was good for a change too. If you are coming as adults only beware that the adults only pool is no longer in use so there is only the noisy kids pool with waterslide, but great for families with kids of all ages

Our family of four had an amazing three days here in September. It was perfect for us as there were kids activities, pool, beach, lagoon rock pools to explore and I went surfing a few times. Also there’s noches things to do near by like the Kula Adventure park. The staff were great, room was comfortable, breakfast yum. I recommend eating at the Asian restaurant. Drinks aren’t very cheap but rooms have a mini fridge. Next time I would rent a car to explore more of the area as it is beautiful and such an undeveloped coast. Vinaka! We hope to be back soon.
