Copenhagen Strand Hotel

Great location right next to canal. Stayed in family room which was actually 2 connecting rooms which gave additional space. Very comfortable and enjoyed Copenhagen very much.

I requested a quiet room with good natural light and was given a very comfortable room facing the back courtyard on the 5th floor. It was quiet, cozy, just the right size for one (or two), and had lovely natural light with views of the city roof tops for charm. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the duvet was fluffy and warm. The bathroom was well suited to my needs, updated, built-in toiletries in the shower stall with a few thoughtful minis for more specific needs, and had a divine heated floor which was perfect after a cold day out exploring the city. Ironing board & iron in the room, laundry bag in case you desired laundry service, electric kettle and some tea//coffee/hot cocoa, mugs and cups. I hoped there would be a mini fridge so I could keep a few food items or drinks I purchased--there was a petite cooling fridge that worked wonderfully! In room safe, fans were present if you were traveling in warmer months or wanted air flow, the windows open a crack in case you wish to refresh the air in your space, radiant heat. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, helpful, and available to answer any questions. Lobby: cozy, welcoming with ample seating, tables, books, board games, and the bar menu. Luggage can be held after checkout until you need to pick it up later that day. Safe, walkable at night, centrally located, quiet, quaint! I would absolutely recommend The Strand to friends, family, and fellow travelers! I look forward to my next stay!!

Nice, clean hotel close to Nyhavn area.I enjoyed the connecting rooms for my family albeit very small even with two bathrooms. This is Europe. They could have used black out curtains as it is very light out in the summer. However, they did provide eye masks and ear plugs in the rooms which we should have used. No A/C but they did have fans. Decent price for the hotel and good service.
