LionsDive Beach Resort

We were very excited to stay at LionsDive leading up to our trip as the reviews were amazing however, after stayed there for five days, I was a bit disappointed. The location of the resort is ideal especially with kids and not having a car. However, many of the staff were unfriendly and seem like they didn’t want to be bothered with you. The Hemingway restaurant was just okay - there are much better options close by. The rooms were updated but could use a deep cleaning especially the floors - we had small children crawling around. Also in the middle of the day the ice machines weren’t working so you had to go to the bar but the staff seemed to be annoyed. We are very easy going and simple family that prefers to stay at an laidback resort but felt as though the staff didn’t care even just to say hi. After staying at LionsDive dive I probably would not return and would not recommend it. I arrived expecting the most and left desiring so much more.

Our family had a great time at LionsDive. We have 2 children - age 13 and 11. The location was excellent. Lots of dining options within walking distance at Mambo Beach although the restaurants at LionsDive were very good and a little less expensive than Mambo Beach. Our kids loved the 50m people - very clean and quiet up there and was just a nice spot away from the beach for a bit. Not too many guests seemed to use it when we there so it was very nice. Everything felt very safe and we were very comfortable letting our kids walk around the resort on their own. The snorkelling off the beach at the resort was excellent - it was a very pleasant surprise to see so many different and colorful fish right there off the beach. We did hire a car for our trip as we like to explore the island and visit the different beaches around the island. Parking at Lions dive was easy. My husband and I like to go to the gym - you get access to the gym at Mambo Beach included. It is smaller gym but has everything you need so this was an excellent feature. We aren't scuba divers but it seemed to be a very good option if you were. Lots of scuba courses were being run off the beach there and it seemed like a good place to learn. We were very happy with our decision to stay at LionsDive and would happily recommend it to others.

Very nice grounds and staff. Everyone was very helpful. Restaurants on the property were varied in cuisine and top notch. Our room was a bit old and rather nousy especially when there wereots of children about.

Excellent beach for kids!

Great location, no fight for loungers, areas for shade, easy access to beach and water protected by rick barrier wall. Great place to bring a family of all ages.

We stayed at the Lionsdive in 2023 and had a wonderful time. We decided to come back in 2024 since it was so great. The location next to Mambo Beach is great for food and drinks. The beach and pool are also great. The big downfall in 2024 is the level of noise. They are doing construction which starts at 7:45 am in the morning. In addition to the construction, we were woke up at 5:30 am for a gas powered fogger for bug control and tree trimming at 7:30 on a Sunday. We tried to change rooms but the other rooms lacked a view. The manager never came out of their office to speak to us. Instead they gave us a free breakfast for 2 (we are a family of 4) and a cheap bottle of wine for our troubles. I would look to stay in a different place or verify that your room is not near the construction

Great quiet resort for families or couples. Nice beach, delicious restaurants, clean, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff.

This place is beautiful. It's right on the beach and feels like a quaint little village. It's family friendly yet quiet, the food is outstanding no matter where you eat. Very helpful and pleasant staff. We will definitely return.,

Where do I start? pros first: front desk and managing are nice people. Cons: First day it’s packed with people not belonging to the resort, not anywhere to sit. They gave me a room extremely noisy, next to lobby a stair access to other floors, facing the kids pool, I complain, they accommodate me in another room, the zone looks more silent, but surprise: next door (with a communicating door in the room) there is the SCUBA restoring office, they work with tools starting 8am, at least 4 people per time, even louder. All sunbeds are taken already at 8am, also by people not staying at the property (free for outsiders too!) same for tables at dinner, people that stay at the resort have no services since they don’t make any restriction for outsiders, it’s basically an hotel with open access to everyone without monitoring or charging outsiders. Why should I pay more than people stay in the condo behind this property then since they have same services as I do? The beach and the bar area are dirty, always filled with empty glasses and bottles, and they stay there quite long time, service is very very slow, they literally don’t care, if you don’t call them they don’t come all this while they sip their drinks, use their phones and chat. Breakfast: a disaster, assortment is low, quality is low. Definitely not a 4 stars, very very low standards. If you want a relaxing vacation or expect a 4 star service don’t come here, this is a loud place, services are poor.
