Le Cameleon Puerto Viejo

One of the most beautiful hotels I have been staying. Impeccable on the details. Friendly staff. Good location, 10 minutes from the center of Puerto Viejo. Excellent for toddlers. Good amenities. My only suggestion is about the breakfast, it is not so good, but not a problem you have many options near by. In general an unforgettable experience. Definitely I’ll be back.

This is a very special place for me and my family. Many memories we have shared since it was open. The service has improved greatly and rooms are as featured in the website.

Our stay here was absolutely amazing. We were there for a family medical emergency and the stay at this resort made it less emergency and more vacation and mostly because of the staff. All of the staff were amazing but Daniel went so far above and beyond he made us feel like we were cousins or something and he didn’t want to disappoint his own family, that’s how good his service was for us. The entire location couldn’t have been more perfect. The beach club and restaurant were absolutely tasty and amazing and one of the next views you can ask for anywhere in the world. I would stay here 1000 times out of a 1000 and then some.

Great for couples and families

What a great property, we will be back here when we come to this area again of CR. The employees are wonderful, helpful, and very kindhearted. They went out of their way multiple times to help us. We loved it here. Yes, there are some upgrades needs for the resort, but, as world travelers, it was nothing to us. Great stay, great employees! One item, and we knew when we booked, so this is on us, this is a family friendly place, so there are streaming kids… we always went places in the resort where there were no kids, that’s pretty easy to find.

I stayed for two weeks at LeCameleon on my own. Beautiful property and location - right on the long Playa Cocles beach. The area is very safe and I was comfortable walking by myself on the beach or the road. The hotel has two pools, which I appreciated. One was by the bar for the partiers and kids and the other on the ‘jungle’ side, always quiet. I ate at the restaurant a few nights but plenty of nice restaurants in walking distance. All the staff I talked to were friendly and efficient. Only problem was the water went off on my last day from wake-up until I left at noon. Things like this happen in remote tropical places so you have to be able to go,with it. One more thing - the weather on the Caribbean coast can be overcast all day and rainy. Can’t have rainforest without rain.
