When we arrived, the front desk said my reservation did not include a child, so they had to move us from our reserved room to one a quarter mile away across the street and a good 10min walk and multiple staircases away. They literally put us at the furthest room possible on the upper floor at the extreme far end of the property across the street near construction going on in the parking lot. No apologies for error on the reservation, no discount, no smiles. The female manager handling that change was not super welcoming or friendly. Room was decent. Otherwise we enjoyed the pool, restaurant, welcome drinks, and breakfast. We also rented a surfboard one day from the booth right by the pool and Gaston was super nice and chill and helpful.

Amazing location for a tropical resort vacation. Lots of energy and buzzy tourist vibe in only the best way. The hotel offers waterfront rooms, and open air amenities everywhere you turn. It was perfect. Staff, especially at the guided tours counter were exceptional and showed such warm interest in us and our experience. We felt like family! We definitely will return!

We have stayed at this property eight times since 2013 The only reason our timers interrupted was due to covid and having a child. We absolutely love this resort. It is a perfect location. Everyone is friendly. The pools are amazing and if you have children it's even better!

Wonderful place, nice views, great for families as hotel offers different pools and spaces, you may want to skip the online check in as it was useless as I had to go through the process again once at the property.

Booked a four night stay in an ocean front king. Room was spacious and clean and had an extra large balcony. The hotel was right on the beach which had a restaurant, pool and concierge. There was a buffet breakfast available. There is also an area where you can rent surf boards and or lessons. Across the street is another part of the hotel with two more pools. One was clearly for children and the other was more adult friendly. Service was ok throughout the hotel. I wouldn’t say the staff went out of their way to provide great service, merely just adequate. Plenty of restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. This is a basic, no frills hotel that seems to be perfect for families. If you are a couple without children, I would recommend staying somewhere else. Overall, a pleasant stay in a basic beachfront hotel.

Beautiful view ! The hotel and service staff was friendly and helpful at all times . Everything is walking distance to you and the restaurants were all great . The security was on property ground stall times which makes it feel safe for families . The only downfall is the bed could have better sheets for comfort as it was too thin for us . Luckily, I brought my own blanket that kept us comfortable to sleep since bed was very firm as well.

The rooms here are equivalent to a Days Inn. There is no way you would ever want to spend more than 5 minutes inside. The beach is decent but there are vendors approaching you constantly, so it’s not a relaxing experience. The hotel does not actually have beach chairs (or food service) on the beach, you have to get those from vendors. The restaurant and bar were meh. There is a German man that lives at the hotel. When I was there, he had “adopted” a baby possum which he carried around with him everywhere and hand fed it at the bar. It was completely disgusting. Oh and this man’s dog roamed around the restaurant begging people for food. I was supposed to stay for three nights but left after two and went to the W Reserva Conchal. I knew the Diria wasn’t the Four Seasons, but it definitely wasn’t for me. Positives were the beach view from my room, my patio (which was not very private, but ok), and the cute pool. Other reviewers have given this place a 4.1 rating. If your tastes are more aligned with the W/Four Seasons then you may find this place a solid 2.5.
