This place is such a no brainer: If you love walking beaches... jackpot, If you surfing... JACKPOT, If you love sunsets ... damn it just doesn't get any better, If you eat... bring 2 stomachs, if you chill... ohmmmm-g AND if you want all that in one spot, surrounded by staff that makes you feel like family then this is it.

If you've ever been to Costa Rica you'll know that apart from dramatic seascapes and wonderful people, it's hot and overrun by 'los insectos'. After several trips to CR we can say that the Rip Jack Inn has the coolest and cleanest rooms we have experienced,no insects or insect repellent smell. It is a stones throw from the spectacular Playa Grande beach great for surfing, running and walking. The rooms are nestled around two small pools and there is another cluster underneath the restaurant with the stand alone bungalow room nearby. There is a yoga studio with daily classes. Each room has its own decor and feel but they all have the essentials, mini fridge, TV(Netflix etc..) wifi, aircon. We were wowed by the restaurant with its fresh ingredients and the incredible staff that was able to accommodate our special dietary requirements for our full stay. This is something that very few places even in our hometown can do. About the staff.This is more like a family, we left with several hugs; the restaurant and front desk personnel went above and beyond to be sure that we were happy; great restaurant recommendations, arranged transport and would always ask us with a smile if there was anything we needed, Beach towels and chairs that you can take to the beach are supplied, you can rent boogie boards and beach tents from Frijoles, a nearly surf shop, online or in person. Special shout out to Josue, Renaldo, Sonia, Irena, Eliam, Angie, Nubia and Vladmir. We will be back.

It was great experience for me and my family....the hotel has a great location very close to the beach, just 25mts walking distance. In general the hotel is very well mantained, the staff was friendly and helped me with requests. The restaurant offers several dishes with a very good taste, however some of the plates were expensive and the portion were a little small. No kids menu. The 2 swimming pools were great, my family and I really enjoyed our stay. I would recommed to stay on this hotel, definitely we will be back.

A very unique modest and well kept hotel with exceptionally friendly people. Bohemian style and perfect for individuals, couples, or families. Great beach with waves that were perfect for swimming in waves or surfing. Not crowded at all.
