Hotel El Manglar

Nice hotel but we didn’t enjoy our room. It was too small for a double bed room; no closet space, no hot water and it’s run-down. The shower sprayed out so violently that we had a river after every shower causing my kid to slip twice. Our friends stayed on the second floor and the room was much improved from ours. Overall the hotel itself is nice staff is friendly and flexible. Location is great if you are someone that enjoys staying away from the crowds. I would stay here again just not in the same room. Have traveled to most countries in Central America, third time in CR and this was our second least favorite hotel room.

I really wanted to like this place. Staff were great. However Standard rooms were tiny. Not big enough for a family of 3 on a two week vacation. No storage in the rooms. 3 mins from a wonderful beach. Very secluded. A 40 mins $50 drive to town. Ants in the room. Asked for help not resolved. Few onsite ammenties. Water was only luke warm in the rooms.
