Great food, entertainment and drinks. The facility itself is in need of repairs and updates. When it rains the walkways internal and external flood. The rooms are alittle dirty, but the floor plan in the family suites is excellent giving kids and parents separate but connected sleeping spaces.

The restaurant looked good and the property was a neat concept to have an old building as a hotel felt rich in history but the cleanliness was abismal. We encountered 5 live roaches and two dead ones. One of the dead roaches was so old it was stuck to the floor so it leads us to believe they never cleaned the room in between uses. The ceiling was decorated with hundreds of dead insects and the tv had a broken line all the way across so watching tv to help drown the mosquitoes out wasn’t an option. We were traveling with small children and they didn’t have anything to help with that aspect not even a mini fridge to help keep milk for the baby. I wouldn’t stay there ever again.

Ok so I gave this five stars overall even though the individual categories weren’t five stars. We used this hotel because we arrived very late and didn’t want to drive to La Fortuna at night. We are a family of five. They met us at the airport with a private shuttle at midnight and brought us to the front desk of the hotel. The night manager was super nice and got us right into our room. We had three beds in there and didn’t need a second room which was awesome. The free breakfast was really great with rice and beans, eggs, cereal, fruit, toast, juice and coffee. They even called us a cab in the morning to take us to the car rental place. Would absolutely stay here again!

Had 3 queen beds in the room, that was perfect for our family of 5. Nothing fancy, but was perfect for one night.

This hotel was a great value for us as a family to stay at before our return flight home. Will definitely be staying at this hotel in the future.

We needed a place for my family of 5 to stay for an early morning flight out of SJO and Hotel Aeropuerto had good reviews and an on-site restaurant. It was a little hard to find but Waze got us there and it does have security which I appreciated since the area seemed a little rough. The staff was pleasant and our dinner was quite good (especially the craft beer and Kombucha). Our room, however, was hostel-style and very basic. I don’t require much out of a hotel room, but this one made me a little squeamish. The showerhead was pretty disgusting and sprayed a weird stream of water all over. We were in an accessible room which is fine but the whole bathroom was soaked when we finished and smelled “off”. Our room had three beds squeezed in and the covers were a sheet, a thin/old comforter, then another sheet. Super weird. They were also not overly comfy and the planes taking off made it hard to sleep. Last, we had to return a rental car which was on the other side of the airport from the hotel so the location actually turned out to not be great for us. In a pinch, this is a decent place to stay and very reasonably priced but I would look elsewhere next time.

Place was good for being in the city right next to the airport. The room was a very decent size, the beds were not comfortable, and the water sprayed out of the faucet at a max speed! If you use the shower the whole bathroom will be soaked. Creaky doors and tp rolls. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was great. The lobby was really tropical, we felt safe, the grounds were really pretty, and the restaurant next door was nice. We were a family of 4- it suited us for one night. We didn’t use the pool.

Our family of 6 found Hotel Aeropuerto to be a peaceful respite from the road trips and cruises. The gardens are so lovely, the restaurant menu tantalizing and the breakfast chef and gardener, Luiz, to be delightfully passionate about the gardens and life in general.
