Villa San Ignacio

My family and I had the best experience at Villa San Ignacio this past week. We were a large group and everyone there was so incredibly helpful and kind. The service was really outstanding in every way. The grounds are also beautiful making the overall atmosphere so relaxing. I love the style of the restaurant as well. The rooms were super clean too! I really hope to be able to go back one day when I’m passing through the San Jose area 😊

We stayed in the 2 bedroom, perfect for my family with two teenagers! The pool was fun but the grounds were the real star - AMAZING! The staff went above and beyond to make everything absolutely perfect. Happy hour was fun to try some of their great cocktails. The restaurant was so good! I would stay there again and again!

We booked Villa San Ignacio as our final night in Costa Rica - we needed a place to stay near San Jose the night before our 6am flight. We were so wonderfully and pleasantly surprised by what is a beautiful little oasis in the middle of town. Our family of 5 booked the 2 bedroom suite and it was beyond perfect. So spacious with an upgraded and very large bathroom. There were 3 sinks and mirrors making it super easy to get ready. It also featured a large shower with great water pressure. The beds are super comfortable. The grounds are really pretty and the pool area lovely. We ate at Pandora, their restaurant, for lunch and dinner and really enjoyed it. The food was well priced for a hotel restaurant and very delicious. Because we would miss the complimentary breakfast due to our early checkout, they left us to-go breakfasts outside our bedroom at 3am. All in all, a perfect gem of a hotel in San Jose. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area.

we've booked a single-family house (#1) and it was great. The house stands separately from others, and you feel like you are alone in the whole territory. Nice garden around, very clean. The single point which I was surprised is that there was no coffee machine in the house. We had to go to the restaurant every time. However, it was not too inconvenient since the restaurant is 50 yards or so. In general, we’ve enjoyed every hour there. As to the shopping, we’ve used UBER and I would say that in San Jose this is much more suitable then drive a car ourselves.

I was a little worried as my driver navigated through Barrio San José and warned me against walking alone--and I saw on the navi system that the hotel was very close. And then--it we were in an oasis. The grounds are beautiful with garden-lined pathways, beautiful architecture, and a stunning common area for the restaurant and pool. There is also a billiards table and space for playing games, which seemed very popular and useful for the families I saw.

This place is beautiful, they keep it clean. The restaurant is pretty good. Breakfast is delicious. The only thing is missing is a tv.. on sunny days you won't need it as much in a rainy day. We stayed at the family suit.. Great room very spacious only missing some counter space or shelves. Overall great experience

My family of 5 spent the first 2 nights of our stay in Costa Rica at this hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. It was a great introduction to this lovely country. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and the food was delicious. We arrived late in the evening but the hotel allowed us to pre-book food for our arrival. They also arranged for a transfer from the airport. Our car hire company delivered our car to the hotel the following day.
