Casa Claver Loft Boutique Hotel

Very spacious room with 3 bedrooms, huge living room, decent kitchen. The kids loved the rooftop pool. The street the hotel is on seems very safe, no prostitutes at night, very quiet in the suite. It’s within walking distance of everywhere and anywhere in the old city. Most walks were 5 minutes. I don’t remember any that took a full 10 minutes. There was one walk that was 7-8 minutes. Staff is friendly and helped with any issues or needs with good attitude. Very good price and the accomodations were far superior to much more expensive hotels like the Hyatt. I wish we had stayed here the whole time we were in Cartagena (a total of 5 days). I would have saved a lot of money while sacrificing absolutely nothing. This was actually the best place of our entire trip: Cartagena, Tierra Bomba (an island 30 minutes by boat from old Cartagen, Bogota, Villa de Leyva, and Medellin. Medellin is a city you really need to plan out thoroughly before you get there. It’s a huge, sprawling city with terrible traffic that made spontaneous exploring of different areas pretty exhausting. Plaza Botero which is in El Centro (“La Candelaria”). The sculptures and museums on the plaza were great and safe. The pedestrian street rates highly by travel sites but that’s complete BS. El Centro is depressing, dirty, dangerous and chaotic. The locals are aggressive, persistent, genuinely crazy and scary as hell. I was afraid and wanted to get as far away as fast as possible never ever to return

Had the best experience ever! The concierge, James, provided stellar service. Our vacation was a seamless and fabulous experience thanks to James and his wonderful recommendations. Every time I had a question he recommended the best. In addition to recommending great restaurants, he researched several items for me: horse carriage night ride, tour around the city, and even a chauffeured van to take us to Santa Marta (a 4-hr drive). If he didn’t have an immediate answer he would say “I’ll research and have the information for you when you return” (as I would often ask as we were heading out for the day). The hotel was also beautiful and we enjoyed a great room service-delivered breakfast daily. If you have kids this option is wonderful so you can cool off at the small pools (2) after sightseeing in the morning. I plan to return to this exact hotel. Loved it!!!

This apartment hotel was excellent for our stay in Cartagena. Location wise it is perfect for visiting the historic center. The apartment is light, airy, high ceilings, nicely decorated and very comfortable for 2 couples sharing or a couple and 2 children. The roof top terrace and pool area are fantastic and a great way to relax after a day of sight seeing. Although a bit on the pricey side, it is well worth it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast which is included was excellent every day. The only thing i would say is that they should provide coffee at least for the first morning coffee, seeing as there is a kitchen in the flat. Very good, I would highly recommend.

It is a small boutique hotel. Excellent location close to restaurants and plazas. Service was superb and the breakfast delicious! Having the double room to share with kids is something not other places offers. The view from the top is fenomenal! I would stay here again! Highly recommended,

Yes, you absolutely want to stay here. About us, family of 4 including a teen and a preteen. The hotel is lovely, perfectly situated. Great views from roof top. Loved the breakfast. However, the best feature is their customer service. At the front desk, Benjamin was amazing. He will help you with all of your needs, from recommendations for restaurants to getting you on a private boat to the Rosario Islands. The one thing that stood out to me was how much they care for your safety. They make sure you get sent somewhere with people they know (taxi), and it goes the same way on the way back. At no point I ever felt like I did not know what was happening. There was always someone to greet me, like at the marina when we were going on a boat ride. Thank you Casa Claver staff for giving us such a great experience during our summer vacation! We cannot wait to come back.
