Dann Carlton Medellin Hotel

The hotel itself is a very nice hotel, very ,very clean, bettet than expected. I always clean any room I stay in as soon as I enter and here, I found nothing on the other side of my Clorox wipes. Although it smelled very fresh when I first entered, it's just something I always do.. The pool was nice as well, just a little too cold for Me. The beds and pillow were extremely comfortable. I slept like a baby during my stay .It's in a central location as well, access to everything You need and very Uber friendly if needed. On the flip side, I must've had the room another person mentioned in their review, regarding the scorching hot water in the shower at times and having to hold the handle on the toilet to flush. Also, I would have to agree with the others, because it does not have hotel basics such as a coffee maker, an iron, or blow-dryer, I would not consider it a 5 star hotel. You will also need to ask for washclothes as the rooms do not automatically come with them. You should brush up on your Espanol as well but every one will help You even if they speak little to no English. Besides we are visitors in their country so we should try anyway. Other than that I had a pleasant stay..I only ate breakfast daily which is free and the Tony Romas restaurant on my last night. I enjoyed breakfast and the ambiance of Tony Romas was beautiful as it lets you view the beautiful city of Medellin while it slowly rotates.

Living up to its reputation, we found the hotel to be beautiful and our room lovely and very comfortable---with great bedding and pillows, plenty of space in the junior suite, and remote controlled blinds on the window with a view of the city. The location was an easy walk from many good restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

This is one of the best hotels in the city. They are continuing upgrades. I stay here often. I am recognized and always treated like family.

Very enjoyable experience and great for families with young children. Excellent location. Five minute walk to the beautiful Parroquia de San José de El Poblado Catholic Church. Starbucks across the street and many great restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful pool and workout facilities (don't miss the steam room). Rooms are a bit dim and could use better lighting. Breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing full of fresh fruit and juice and hot items. Filled us up until dinner. Lots of friendly staff everywhere. A ! We will definitely stay here again.

Very good location. The junior suite is amazing.

Disappointed to say the least. This hotel needs major room renovations. The bathroom ceiling was cracking overall room needs more attention. The tv in our room didn’t turn on. I found black hair on one of my towels. The sofa bad needed sheets for my kids, called the front desk over 5 times Juan kept telling me it’s on its way. I had to personally go downstairs in my pijamas after two hours to get that resolved. But the worst part was on our first night checking in on 8/7 around 6pm when we went back to the room to settle in to our surprise NO AC!! Yes I know super unexpected! Again I called reception he advised me to open the window that they are doing maintenance it will take an hour. Like seriously out of all the days and times the hotel decided to do this now! We were pretty hot and uncomfortable. Definitely won’t be staying here again 😠

We were visiting from the US and stayed for 9 nights from April 11-20. The room was very clean, restaurants inside the hotel were amazing, the breakfast buffet had a variety of options, and the staff was incredible! They even set-up for a car service to pick us up at the airport at 12:30am. They also set-up for a car to take us to the airport when we left. The day before we left, they had a lab technician come to our room to administer the COVID tests for my family (required to renter US); so convenient! My husband and 4 kids loved our stay! We will definitely be coming back! Linda and David Gaviria
