Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Regina, an IHG Hotel

I’m a very big fan of Holiday Inn Regina, and have never had a problem with this hotel…until last night. The bed was very lumpy, and had the worst sleep I have ever had at this hotel. Usually, I sleep like a baby on the beds there, and the room seemed a bit rundown. Time for a refresh of rooms, but I will give them another chance, as the service is exceptional!

Service at the attached restaurant was very poor, also asked 3 times for a infant bed, was told the first time they had one and someone would bring it to the room. When it still hadnt gotten to the room went down to front desk and had some words and was told they had none. Then a couple hours later one magically appeared right after i was getting kids to bed

Staff were not friendly, lots of drunks within the hotel, woke my children up at 2 am. Someone passed out in the hall way. Could hear people outside taking through my closed window. When the heat was turned on, the room smelt of pee Will not be staying there again

Upon arrival, greeted by a friendly front staff person, only negative is that he answered phone calls while checking us in, versus putting them on hold to check us in. Normally this would be totally fine, except we had two young kids crying as they were exhausted and hungry from the long drive. This hotel was extremely clean, which is something I look for, clean showers, bathroom, living area. Beds we’re comfortable, everyone slept well. Only other negative, AC cut in/out all night until we shut it off. People who sleep deep will not notice this at all, I’m a light sleeper and it bothered me. Once turned off, no issue room remained at a comfortable temperature. Room and hotel was super quiet, which we loved and greatly appreciated. Overally great experience, would definitely stay here again!

Kids were playing in Hallway just down from desk until 10 pm. I had to ask them to stop. We asked our phone be checked as it would ring once and then stop and when trying front desk, only busy signal. A maintenance worker was to come but never did. Pool small and families brought big pool toys and could have caused injuries, hotel had no rules and did not restrict. Bathroom door would not close without great effort. Our key card was deactivated before we checked out. Staff was friendly enough but struggled to handle the load.

Do not stay here, i spent 2 nights in room 318 and i woke up with bite marks on my arm, neck, and face. They were little red bumps that i ended up getting a allergic reaction to and had to get antibiotics. The room smelled horrible and when i let them know they told me they would come spray an air freshener. We had kids knocking on our door that were running up and down hallways at 3am. We also didnt get our room cleaned after asking 6 time the next day, and it took 3 hours to get towels when we called. DO NOT STAY HERE. I will be reporting them to the health inspection place for the bug bites as thats not okay. When i told them they gave me 30 dollars off the room. I still had to pay almost 300 for my stay after the horrible experience. Never again, as this place is gross. Also thanks to my mom for cleaning up the room well i was in pool area with kids. Horrible horrible hotel..

The overall experience was great. I just had a few nagging issues. The back entrance had a lot of ice build up and I use a cane to walk, so that was difficult. The pop machine only had 2 options (Pepsi and diet GingerAle ??). Some kids were running back and forth through the hallways up to 11:30pm, making a lot of noise and grabing door handles. There wasn't staff around to stop this activity.

We booked here strictly for the pool to go swimming on family day and during checkin I was told along with other guests it would be open Monday till noon only to find it closed for maintenance this morning. I now have 2 very disappointed kids and have wasted $140 dollars to sleep 5mins from my home !!

Suite was great layout for having a small child going to bed early. Only bad thing didn’t like was no curtains so being on main floor car lights and gas station lights constantly shining through window
