Chateau Versailles

We stayed for 3 nights as a family of 4, occupying two rooms. The reception staff were not particularly friendly, which didn't make a great impression, but it wasn't a major issue. Our rooms were on the first floor, and fortunately, we didn't have to lug our bags upstairs since I’m not sure if the building has an elevator. The building is old, hence expect some squeaky floors, erratic faucets, unstable toilet-seats, and bathrooms with no door-locks. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Overall clean. In one of the rooms, the AC was not quite working, however much we tried to dial it down. However, the cooling in our other room was fine. The breakfast is standard fare: bread, bagels, cereals, boiled eggs, fruits, etc. [no waffles or scrambled eggs though] The gym is a joke with just three rickety machines (one treadmill, one elliptical, and one small multi-gym) in a very small room. The machines shake a lot while using, hence people don't dare to use those much. The best part of the hotel is its location. Every time we stepped out, it brightened our day. It offers easy access to Montreal's tourist spots and plenty of shops and restaurants within a block. Despite being in a prime spot, it's not too noisy. Parking was easy. We always found a spot right in front of the hotel. It’s free between 9pm-9am. Much cheaper than the one from the hotel if you’re comfortable with street-side parallel parking. If you don’t care much about the premises this could be a good option.

When my family went there It was too hot but A/C is not working. First day, we complained but we slept in 26.4C. And We complained in the morning at second day. They said they can fix but it’s not. We asked change the room but they said they didn’t have extra room but they offer give some fan and refund money but we couldn’t accept because it was too hot to stay. Finally they offer change the bigger room(they have it anyway:( ) and refund first day. It was terrible experience ever.

Chateau Versailles was a decent place to stay for a family. We enjoyed the stay.
