Prestige Harbourfront Resort

Considering the price, the beds weren’t the most comfortable and we were kept awake and woken up by the people staying above us. The kids loved the pool though and the room was clean and fit our family of five.

Unexpectedly high levels of service, our stay was incredible. From arrival to departure, property staff went over and above on all fronts. A very personalized and curated experience. As someone who is lucky enough to frequent high end properties professionally, getting all aspects of a stay perfectly is very rare. Prestige did this for our family and we will be back.

What a great stop before heading to Banff from Vancouver. The hotel staff were very kind and welcoming. Very accommodating and aware of the needs of the consumer. The town was sweet and our children loved the game and anime shop in town. The wharf was lovely and we saw several different wildlife while there; two juvenile beavers, blue herring and other colorful birds. I would certainly my recommend PHR to all traveling through.

Brutal. Had to call down 3 times because of Christmas party DJ’s, kids and myself couldn’t sleep. I get it people are having fun but when travelling and paying the same price as when we stay at the Fairmont in Banff, this seems wrong. Loud till close till midnight from music then stomping all over the place and woken up by 5 am. It’s just disappointing when paying that kind of money for a supposedly nice hotel. Last stay was great, short of room condition. May as well save your money and book at a more reasonably priced hotel because no one there cared about the legitimate concerns.

Eddie in café was amazing, went above and beyond with suggestions, freshly baked pastries, and great tips. Canadiana room was a hit with the kids. Oddly tv wasn’t working, staff couldn’t fix it. Otherwise nice place.

Truly one of the best customer service I’ve received from this hotel. Beautiful place, beautiful location, and a pleasure to deal with from the staff! We had to take our kids with us from a couples trip due to failed babysitting plans, and they were very accommodating. We got a free upgrade from a room with no balcony to one with. We were so lucky to see the northern lights after coming back to the hotel from dinner. Lovely view. The rooms could have been cleaner as the kids were screaming from spiders crawling above their head, but they are harmless. Overall lovely stay! The kids enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and they also have an arcade room too! Plenty to keep the little ones busy.

The property is close to the water. Indoor and outdoor pool. Hot tub outside with all the bugs. Being close to the water, the outdoor pools and tub can smell the swampy water. Pub and restaurant closes at 9. The AC was not cool enough due to save conservation mode. Only on elevator which was out of order for a full day. Had to climb up and down with luggages. Cost the same for ocean or not ocean view. Rooms were descent size for a family of 4.

Some maintenance issues ... toilet seat in our room kept coming off. We fixed it ourselves and did not address wirh the front desk. Other maintenance issues we had were a broken lamp, AC stopped working. Both these were addressed to the front desk and handled promptly. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Lots of construction in the area but noise was minimal. Great location for walks along boardwalk or out on the Salmon Arm Wharf. On our floor housekeeping came early so if we left our room at 1145am and wanted housekeeping they had already been and gone. The hotel needs to add recycling bins to every hotel suite and not just garbage bins. The room wasn't as clean as it should have been .... small details such as top drawer of dresser had garbage in it and a few sticky spots on kitchen floor. These were addressed by staff when asked but for a prestige hotel the attentiin to detail should be a little higher. The pool, hot tub, gym and arcade were great ammenities. Its great to have laundry and we did 3 loads eithout issue, but there is only 1 washer and 1 dryer for the whole hotel. Our first night there the fire alarm faulted and went off every 3 to 5 min from 1030pm until after midnight. We did not seek compensation but something should have been offered. Travelling with young children this was a huge issue. We would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
