We had loud noises all night we didn’t sleep well two out of the three nights we called the front office and it still didn’t stop kids in the pool up till 11 at night so we couldn’t go in the hot tub and there was running around in the hallways above us, it was a terrible sleep not a great experience

Staff was very accommodating and helpful when there was a small issue with kids running the halls. They didn't ignore it. Addressed the issue professionally.

Kids running up and down the halls on our floor, and the one above us. Staff could see them through the lobby windows to the second floor, but didn't say anything to them until we phoned. If you charge the money you do for a room I expect to be able to enjoy the space without kids running and screaming up and down the halls.

The challenge I had was what a European room was (my error). Why there are rooms without doors for the bathroom; I had no idea it was a thing. When I booked I saw a king size bed and pull which was exactly what I needed. The sliding door to the toilet area, also really didn’t in fact “close” (big gap from door to wall where you would essentially see the person in the bathroom). When I checked in the staff member asked if I was okay with a glass shower to which I said yes as my kids didn’t need a tub. That said, I was checking in with my two kids (including my 12 year old son). To say having a shower in the middle of our room was a challenge was an understatement. The staff that asked really didn’t explain what I was in fact getting. Great location for what we needed, but the whole bathroom thing was enough to unfortunately turn us away from this location for future stays.

Our room was next to the front desk. It was great until people began filling the lobby for check in after us. We could hear it all, people were vocal about the wait and service.
The second day of our stay our flush mechanism on our toilet broke. The solution was a 3 hour wait for a new room, not get someone to fix it quick. Again we could hear people checking in becoming angry because rooms were not ready. After 3 hours it became frustrating. At that time we were asked to continue to wait for a room with a functioning toilet. We were offered excuses of housekeeping is so busy cleaning all the rooms and we have all these people to check in. It was ridiculous to expect a family that already been patient and kind to wait any longer. I’m pretty sure a functioning toilet in your room that you’re paying for is a reasonable request.
The lack of sufficient staffing isn’t our fault as a paying customer nor is the lack of available maintenance.

This hotel is very conveniently located if you’re wanting to stay out of downtown Edmonton. It has everything we need, beautiful suites and pool for the kids - perfect having Chop restaurant attached. Anything you need is within 25 minutes drive, even Edmontons downtown core. We will continue to choose the Sandman Signature for future stays.

We had a staycation and would definitely come back! Next time we’ll bring the kids so they can make use of the water slide.

We booked this hotel for a staycation for our family. We were disappointed that the pool was ice cold both evening and morning (after it had apparently been fixed) It can’t be helped that the heater element or whatever died so we tried the jacuzzi. There was a maintenance man in there “cleaning” it from the boiler room, so as we were sitting in there with our young kids tons of bubbles filled the jacuzzi. He could have asked us to get out or tell us what he was doing. He never did. Breakfast was $103 and incredibly mediocre. Coffee was very bland. We are an easily pleased family but for the cost of the room ($258 plus $103 for breakfast), well, we will try elsewhere next time. This hotel isn’t very old and the pool room was disgusting. Nothing worked. No shower, bathroom in the pool area was gross. Floor area was gross too. Just very disappointed in the stay as it’s known as a flashy expensive hotel. One of the elevators didn’t work. A window in the pool area was sealed with red tape, 3 different staff members were on their phones texting instead of working…This hotel could for sure do better.
