Best Western Olde Maritime

This was a short sight seeing trip for my wife and I.The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and quiet traffic wise .The service was excellent, the proprietor very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and big, the room had a separate little eating area with a table and chairs as well as a toaster and tea and coffee making facilities. It had a charming old world feel with 2 fireplaces and mantles which unfortunately were unable to be used, but for safety reasons, was understandable. There was also free on site parking. The only complaint we had was that we were on the first floor and there was a floor above us which must have contained family suites or rooms as there was one night where there was lots of very loud footsteps and lots of loud bangs which were very annoying and disturbed our sleep at night and VERY early in the morning. But I realise this can be a problem with multi -storey buildings and sometimes neighboring rooms in many accommodation premises. The motel is well situated with it being a very short walk from the Maritime Village, the RSL and the beachfront. We would recommend this motel and would be more than happy to stay here again.
