Cosmopolitan Hotel

I originally booked the match box room but had to upgrade to the deluxe room due to a last minute guest joining me. The upgrade was made easy over the phone and was just an extra $20 per night which I found was very reasonable. The location of the hotel was fantastic. Walking distance to St Kilda beach, many restaurants and shops. It's on a busy street which is easy to find trams, taxis or ubers. Check-in was easy and the room was easy to find. On arrival the room was a good size with a king bed (very comfortable), tea and coffee and a mini bar fridge. The bathroom was large, very clean with all the toiletries you need. The shower was HUGE! You could honestly fit a whole family in there. Overall the room was clean and comfortable. The room is serviced daily with fresh towels and toiletries. The air conditioner worked well but seemed to have a timer set so turned off after a few hours and didn't come back on straightaway which was annoying in the early hours of the morning.Wi-fi was free and fast. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

First thing we noticed was the mold on the edge of the curtains, bottom and near both windows. Obviously weather -damp & rain coming into room. How this was IGNORED by housekeeping is my major concern. Immediately requested amendment at front counter. Staff were great and within 1/2 hour our family were in a different room, a clean one.
