Travelodge Hotel Melbourne Docklands

Booked an interconnecting family room with 5 twin beds and the reason we picked the Travelodge. Found out that they don’t do it and to take it up with Wotif. Had joining room for kids and couldn’t keep the doors open. Asked for a rubber door stop to keep the doors open and they said they fixed it. But using cardboard folded over ……

I booked a standard king room with 1 king bed for 2 adults and 1 child, but we are surprised when we ended up into a guest room triple. Went to see the receptionist and ask maybe they give us the wrong room, but no, they said that was our room, tried to explain to them, why I booked the standard king room, he must even said "we upgraded it for free" But I don't care, because if we want the triple at the first place, I will book it. He said to send housekeeping to our room to attached the bed and changed the linen. Housekeeper was good, he run again to get a new fitted sheet as it was dirty but I saw the comforter have a blood stain, because I don't want him to run again and we're tired already, I didn't say anything then he covered it with fitted sheets. **Hope they will call if they changed our room so that our excitement is not that high.** Don't used stains sheet as it was gross.** 4/10.

the staff is very reponsive to change room for my family as the air conditioner was not woking

Great location for staying in Melbourne, less than a 5 min walk to trams and trains which get you anywhere in the city and surrounds. Bed was a bit too firm but room was quiet and clean with amenities to be able to make our newborn baby’s bottles up easily. Would consider staying here again if we visited Melbourne again.

check in and reception staff were amazing. However I had booked a room for 3 singles as I was staying with my children aged 12 & 16. Ended up having to share a bed with my daughter as we were given a king and a single bed. Then the bathroom was appalling with the look of camera installation being done (see photo) and mould in the shower

Staff was unfriendly, there was 8 of us on the trip including elderly and young children and when specifically asked for rooms on the same floor or even nearby, was told yes but in reality we were on different floors, etc, the staff had reassured me that this would not be the case however it was, when questioned about it the staff had no answer!!
