This castle could be amazing with a little tlc. The rooms need to reflect the experiece of staying in an amazing castle. Great place for children. This is my second time staying here. Each time a little more disappointed. But a great location to stay when attending the amazing mystery murder night. This is what keeps me coming back. Please renervate the rooms into the castle theme's.

Rooms were located inside the castle so if staying on the weekend you can go to your room if you wanted to have a rest or clean up and then go back to the castle shows/shops. The medieval exhibitions/shows were very entertaining for both adults and children. check in was easy. staff friendly. rooms were clean.

The experience of staying in a 'castle' was eclipsed by the fact that that we had to put up with the noise from the neighboring rooms. Walls were thin enough that we could hear conversations, toilets, fans, KIDS, doors, jumping, wall bangs, etc. at all hours. (Crying kids at various times of the night). We were in a barracks that included bunk beds and a double bed but out of the 6 bunk beds, 2 were made up, leaving the double bed. It was assumed the two adults were sharing the double but I was looking forward to a bed on my own as I have recently suffered broken ribs---not to be!! The wife said on check-in that the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied and although our room was cleaned and restocked (coffee, milk, biscuits) on the first morning, it wasn't repeated. We stayed 3 nights. On a positive note, the access to the themed castle was great and the kids enjoyed the activities. I enjoyed the mead.

We enjoyed our stay--the kids loved the room except there was a big cobweb at the bottom of bathroom vanity and we found 2 spiders on the bed. My 2yr old daughter got a spider bite on her hand. Having a clean microwave and toaster as part of room facilities was a plus. No staff on site though at night--just a mobile number to contact. Also like what other reviewers said, best to bring food bec the castle is isolated--far from any restos or groceries.

The first email about our stay came from Craig, who was more than informative and very friendly. We only stayed there one night and wish we stayed there longer. It was so peaceful and very beautiful. The room was very clean and neat and i loved the theme. We will be bringing the kids next for sure, as we noticed numerous things for them to do, whilst wandering around. Craig the next morning was very lovely and full of information advising us of all the good places around including the best coffee. I highly recommend Kryal Castle for a short stay or even a long stay with or without kids. To us it was a 10/10. thank you and see you soon.

Very comfortable place to stay with kids as you have the castle to yourself during the week. Rooms are big and YOU FIND NO BETTER BEDS. The bathroom is spacious and clean. The whole experience for us was great. THERE ARE NO FACILITIES, LIKE COFFEE (APART FROM IN THE ROOM) OR MEALS AVAILABLE DURING THE WEEK OUTSIDE THE VICTORIAN SCHOOL-HOLIDAYS AND WEEK-DAYS, ONLY DURING THE WEEK-ENDS AND THE VICTOTIAN SCHOOL-HOLIDAYS. This was for us no problem as you have these facilities not far from there on the H/Way. It is very easy to reach, very quite, and safe for kids to run around after a long trip. WE WILL RECOMMEND IT TO ANY TRAVELER WITH OR WITHOUT KIDS. WE STAYED THERE FOR 2 DAYS AND LOVED IT. SOME 4-5 STAR ESTABLISHMENTS CAN TAKE AN EXAMPLE FROM THE KRYAL CASTLE REGARDING ROOMS AND THE QUALITY OF THE BEDS.
