Leisure Inn Penny Royal Hotel & Apartments

What an amazing place to stay with a family! The rooms are great - cozy in size but the charm is lovely. The attached park is underrated too. Lastly, customer service upon check-in was too notch!

Was a nice cosy room. Easy with kids. Parking on-site, bar/restaurant on site. The noise carried from next door, which wasn't an issue for me because I also have noisy kids...Reception was great, and they were very organised with all the COVID safety things.

Highly recommend. Our family of 4 had a lovely stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. Location is fantastic for exploring the Cataract Gorge & is only a short walk to the city. The room itself was very comfortable with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Expected only 1 bathroom but our room had 2 which was a lovely surprise (& much appreciated with 2 teenage boys). Everything was clean & worked just fine. Read other negative comments from other reviews prior to booking but cannot say we agreed or encountered any of their issues. Our room smelt good, was very warm & noise from nearby restaurants was not an issue. Although you do need to carry your luggage up stairs (if you don’t have a ground floor unit) I would think people would investigate this prior to staying if it was going to be an issue for them. We would definitely stay again if in this area. Special mention to The Kings Bridge Bar & Restaurant which is on-site (but separately owned) which served awesome meals with great service in a gorgeous building.

It was just fine. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the hotel, so wasn’t a huge issue. But a bit of a funky smell (could be that it hasn’t been refurbished since I was a kid and stayed there!), but the single beds were both very uncomfortable- my 9 year old will sleep on the floor without complaining, but this bed was an issue for her. Office staff were very friendly

Great rooms with heaps of character. Plenty of room for a short stay for a family of four. In a good location with a bar and restaurant next door. Would stay again.

Good location and feel . Can do a better job with supplies especially for bigger family accommodations.
