Grand Hotel and Apartments Townsville

We booked this through an app. Stayed one night on a grandparents/grandchildren brief trip. Booking: Easy, informative and straightforward. Check-in: Check-in was a great start to our stay. The front office staff were friendly, polite, professional and efficient. Could not ask for a better indication of an enjoyable stay. We were not dissapointed. Room: The room was a one bedroom apartment with a double bed in living room. The room was spotlessy clean and in excellent condition. The kitchen had a good sized fridge and all the amenities needed, plus more. Further the was quiet with regards to outside noise, etc. The bed was comfortable and a good nights sleep was had. Car park: An undercover car park was available. Check-out: Check-out was straight forward with no delays. Hotel Staff: To both front office and housekeeping, thank you as you ensured our stay was an enjoyable and memorable one. Location: Whether in Townsville for business or leisure, this accommodation is a stones throw from the CBD and located in the middle of some great cafes and restaurants.

We had an Eco stay it was fantastic close to the pool for the kids, big spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a bath tub! Loved it!!

We stayed for the week whilst my husband has chemo. The day we checked in we rang reception as the tv wasn’t working, was told it was a hotel wide problem and never fixed. Then on the second last day we came home from hospital to find out there wasn’t any water for hours. Once the water was back on there wasn’t any hot water. Rang reception and was told to leave tap running untill hot came through, left it running for an hour and still nothing at 10pm (no shower for the family). Again in the morning rang reception as there wasn’t any hot water, was told to just leave the tap running again. Another half an hour later and still not hot water. Reception staff very unhelpful and told me there was nothing she could do. Having a patient to take to hospital without a hot shower is disgusting. Very disappointed in how the situation was handled.

The Grand Hotel and Apartments were perfect for our family. We were able to squeeze our family of 4 into a small apartment with a bedroom and a sofa bed in the common area. The kitchenette had everything we needed, though we had some trouble with the washing machine/dryer combo - could never get it to dry clothes. Fortunately a rack was available to hang out the clothes. Great location - short walk to downtown and the Strand, major museums, and even the Cowboys stadium. Variety of great restaurants right outside the hotel too. Overall this is a great choice for a place to stay in Townsville.
