We stayed in a family room, which was great! My daughter loved the bunk bed with her own TV. Comfortable bed and clean rooms. Daily housekeeping! Fabulous pool with complimentary pool towels. Great breakfast buffet. Across the road from Muddy’s playground and splash park

We liked staying at this property. The kids had their separate space with bunkbeds, although their room could have used a door. The rooms were spacious and quiet. One of the negatives was visiting in winter, as the rooms did not have heating nor the pools. The property is also several blocks from the main tourist spaces, so we had to drive to eat, shop, etc.

Underwhelming. Expected more from Rydges. Looks flash, but lacking in holiday atmosphere. Not even a local map to be found at reception. Cheap 'Made in China' gift shop just off the reception is tacky. Vending machines with drinks/snacks etc were available, but at ridiculously inflated prices. If you're travelling with kids, do a big supermarket shop before you get there. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the supermarket, and about the same to the lagoon pool. No shops immediately around the hotel. The housekeeping staff were friendly, and courteous, and kept our room in good shape with minimal disruption, however, asking reception staff for an extra bath towel for my room involved an interrogation that I did not appreciate! Nothing to make me come back and stay again. It was ok for a once off.

The room i found on line was nothing to what I got. The room was horrible. I booked the Esplanade view for 2 people and I got the mountain view that wasn't all that and got given a family room with old wooden bunk beds. Everything about that room was old and ugly. The shower was a bath tub that had old fittings and a handrail and mouldy grout everywhere. It was just plain ugly and uninviting. The bed was too soft and all we got was a sheet to cover and dirty blankets in the cupboard. It reminded me of an old pub room. Yuk. I'll never come back. I should of paid that extra money for better quality a block down the road. Next time I visit I'll definitely pay more. The room fee was ridiculous for what we got.

hotel was ok but stupidly overpriced, clearly they take advantage of the school holidays and families that can only travel at certain times of the year, poor form in my mind.

As we were about to go to sleep we discovered that our ceiling had a major water leak. The staff did provide us another room, but did not offer to help us (two adults and two children) move to the new room nor was a discount on our accommodation offered. We think this was very poor service.

The room was nice and clean. Not so the dining/breakfast are! The windows next to the breakfast area had dirt all over.The mold on the AC is a health hazard . The pool area needs updating, would be nice if there would be a designated kids pool. Friendliness of the staff could improve.
