Nam Long Hotel

Looked like a nice family business. We booked a tour with them and they kindlly took us to the train station. The room was average, relatively spacious, quite clean but needed refurbishment. My stay was quite comfortable though and good value for money, breakfast was alright too.

I stayed at Nam Long for two nights, one night before I traveled up to Phong Nha and another night after I returned 5 days later. The hotel and staff were excellent during my briefs stays and it is a perfect hotel if one is passing through Dong Hoi or even for longer visits. The location is great and very convenient, right by the river, with some great eating options within walking distance. My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the view from the balcony was superb. The family that runs the hotel were very friendly and accommodated all of my needs, including renting me a motorbike to drive to Phong Nha, and doing my laundry on two separate occasions. The breakfast was simple but very good with several options to choose from. I would definitely stay there again the next time I am in Dong Hoi.
