Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Prairie du Chien

We were in town for a family members funeral. Everyone was so nice and friendly. We will happily stay here again!

People smoking at entrance intolerable. Staff did not have any amenities in the room. Breakfast was limited and uninviting. Staff was babysitting a child, while parents out smoking. Received a bite from bed that is now infected.

We stayed here on a Sunday night and checked in after 8 pm. There was no one at the front desk, and it took a few minutes for her to arrive. After that, check in was quick. The room was large and very clean, with an extra window seat that could sleep a child. Bathroom was small but adequate. We did not stay for breakfast, though it looked and smelled good.

I was given a suite so I could be on the same floor as the rest of my family. Very nice room. Gal at front desk very nice.

At midnight there was screaming kids slamming doors and running up and down the hall. No front desk attendant to stop them. Paper thin walls. We won’t stay here again

Pool and hot tub were decent along with continental breakfast. Bathroom had black mold all along base of ceiling, and room had a funky smell from the get go. Asked for a 1 hour late checkout after a 4 day stay and was told not likely. I stay in Prairie du chien at least a dozen times per year and may be hard pressed to stay here again. Wasn't offered a discount for the health hazzard or even granted my 1 hour late checkout request. Was planning on returning this week for a 3 day stay but booked at another hotel due to the poor treatment at the front desk on the evening shift of 11/5. I am an owner of a restaurant and my family has stayed at this hotel several times due to location but may now need to source a different venue for our accommodations. Hopefully they will take note and take care of the mold issue before the wrong guest calls the health department.

I liked the location, and the pool was great for my kids
